Actually, I'm with the guy.  He can't enjoy his own backyard?  I'd be pissed if I had to modify my own behavior to accommodate a never ending stream of super noisy filmmaking next door.  They're constantly making noise so loud you can't get your granddaughter to nap, but I can't have the radio on in my own backyard without getting arrested?  Not cool.

Let this be a lesson that when a Movie/TV production is offering Hotel Accommodations, you are supposed to politely but firmly insist a nice place AND a decent room credit, then go and have a nice little mini-cation

The "granddaughter to nap" part was another resident complaining about this guy blasting the neighborhood with loud music, not about the filmmaking:
"I had to leave today," Jan said of the audio protest. "I'm looking after my granddaughter, and it wasn't the film crew that was making the noise. I had to leave, I said 'I can't put her down for a nap here.'"

I sympathize with the guy and I support farking with filmmakers who think their permit grants them dominion over all they survey. But it seems he let his frustration get the better of him and ended up farking himself with his own stupid actions.

This guy couldn't be any more stereotyped if they went to central casting.

They offered to put him up in a hotel and he turned them down. Movie production companies have more money than sense. He could have asked for some expensive 'company' for his stay in the hotel and they'd have agreed. What an idiot.

A friend and his roomies got sick and tired of their Boston neighborhood being closed for film crews.  One shoot was just up the block from their apartment, so they retaliated by launching water balloons at random intervals from far back from the open window so they wouldn't be seen.  He claims that it was much later that they found out they had been messing with the Field of Dreams shoot.  He still hates Kevin Costner.
