The appeal of the #fakenews tag is so irresistible, who could have known this was really a problem?

I hope the bad news Mueller is going to drop on Trussian comes around August or September of 2018.

/ D voters will probably still not show up for next year's mid-term election.

Bullshiat. Not more than 20 minutes ago, Sean Hannity and guest Jay Sekulow were discussing how the investigation has turned up zilch, that the Steele dossier has been proven time and again to be a falsehood, and that the investigation has turned up so little, the media is asking questions about things that happened in May and June. Three to four months ago! How could that possibly be relevant?!?!

It's the Politico guy, Jim VandeHei, and some others trying to "own" all the news-cycles. A lot of their 'scoops' don't pan out, but some of them do. Check the sources they cite, I guess.

I find the whole approach slightly suspect, but your milage may vary.

Hopefully this thing drags out in court too, so it burns into the memory of the populace the way the OJ trial has, until it finally all comes crashing down in glorious flames and tarnishes the GOP for an entire generation.

Going to need that popcorn eventually.  I hear those stove top pots with the manual stir are the best way to make it.

There is a reason Hannity flipped his lid in the spring about himself being caught in "illegal surveillance". He knows he is on Intel intercepts talking to Russian agents. If he doesn't land in jail, he is going to be splattered with some serious crap after all this.

The amount of denial Republicans have over this is absurd. The other day, my dad said to me, "the swamp sure does strike back, doesn't it?" At what point, do they realized that a grand jury comprised of well over a dozen lawyers specializing in money laundering and fraud, an FBI raid on his former campaign chief's house, his Attorney General committing perjury, his former security advisor begging for immunity in exchange for testimonies, and his own son being caught repeatedly lying about meeting with Russian lawyers and former KGB intelligence, isn't some grand conspiracy from 'the swamp' against their virtuous, populist candidate? Oh, and not to mention Donald Trump admitting that he fired Comey because he wouldn't let the whole Russia thing go, in the same closed door meeting where he divulged code-word level classified information to some Russian ambassadors.

To put it in terms that Republicans can understand, this would be like we found an email from Hillary Clinton saying, "Christopher Stevens was getting too close to blowing Pizzagate wide open. . . he had to die!" except this is real, and is actually happening.

I don't see the downside for the Republicans.
Trump out Pence in. It's their wet dream. Someone who can work with them to create their little Dominionist Christian-Randian fantasy world.
Unless Pence is dirty, too. Then it gets a little messier.

Pence was handpicked by Manafort.

He's as clean as the porn clip Cruz was checking out.

There is a perfectly good Ted Cruz thread for that image.

And yes, while this story is a puff piece, it is nice to know that the Republicans can pinpoint the exact moment where they lost it all. Simply put, the Trump administration has never recovered from the Comey firing.

True. I forgot about that little manufactured plane trouble.
I'll bet Pence is the first rat to flee the ship once the indictments are handed out.

The Steele Dossier is held in high regard by our intelligence agencies.  It's got the coveted totes legit rating.  Anyone that tells you otherwise is at best a moron, but more likely a traitor.

Look, Look, Look, Look, only evil Democrats are responsible for things that never happened. Republicans are not responsible for things that did happen and took part in because immigrants are evil, liberals hate America, and Obama wants to ban Christmas.
