North Korea has threatened the United States with the "greatest pain" it has ever suffered following new sanctions imposed by the United Nations.

But, Donald Trump is already President...

Well, it was actually very kind of China to say out loud that in the event of North Korea starting shiat, China will remain neutral.

On one hand, it was a 'we won't if you start shiat' in the face of the Great Orange Menace.

On the other hand, it let both us and the Norks know that if Kim Jong-Un tossed a nuke in our direction, China would sit back and watch us glass the entire country.  So go ahead and make your usual silly assed hyperbolic threats, fat boy, if you start shiat, we'll end your shiat and China will walk in to pick up what is left.

I always though Kim was a Buckeye but I suppose it never hurts to have another world leader supporting the maize and blue.

We could bribe their entire army to look the other way with a few crates of Choco Pies.

You know how social tardbuckles with compound personality disorders devolve into blubbering babies and then segue into viciousness as they try to slap you while flinging spittle through lispy expletives while everyone laughs at their egos shattering so publicly?

Yeah, I don't living in the global version of that with nuke buttons.

If NK really that suicidal or Un that spiteful what's the speculation on which city would be most likely hit? LA? Anchorage I'm guessing off of geography? If Un IS that unhinged and they do have actual ICBM capabilities DC after Un disappears somewhere in China?

Good luck with that.

76 years ago, someone tried that. We leveled most of Axis-controlled Europe, nuked Japan, and utterly ended a world war. 16 years ago, someone else tried that. We leveled two countries, destroyed Middle East energy policy, and turned the world against global terrorism.

What do you think we'll do to you if you want to try it?

There are further oil embargos that will be enacted. I have been thinking of history, and of what Japan did when they found their oil supplies cut off and were reaching for empire.

Of course NK doesn't want an empire, just to keep what they have...but the world has gotten a lot smaller since then. Or at least it seems so to me.

Hmm if NK does end up doing a first strike, and China stays neutral, I'm getting a feeling that China may just park a lot of soldiers along the entire border and start mowing down (or detaining) any refugees trying to flee NK. Russia has a small adjoining border as well but they seem to be in a 'poke the badger' mood too.

Post war, I could see NK being split up between China and SK, with South Korea absorbing the southern portion, and China absorbing the northern coastal access. Neither side would be particularly happy with the deal, but the NK land would get fixed up a heck of a lot sooner than if it stayed  a separate country with a puppet government.

16 years ago we invaded the country where some of the people the US had funded to fight the Soviets in the 1980s blew back and attacked the US. Then, we invaded Iraq based on faulty intelligence, creating a power vacuum and a place for ISIS to form.

We gave autocrats and dictators carte blanche to crack down on dissidents and people revolting against tyranny by calling them terrorists.

What do you think we'll do to you if you want to try it?

I shudder to think.

/Also, his name is Kim Jong-un; calling him "Un" just makes you look dumb.
