Hurricane Irma does not destroy stadium for Miami Hurricanes?

Professional courtesy.

And the owners of the dolphins will still want the tax payers to fund a  new stadium.

A team led by Jay Cutler hardly qualifies as real football

I mean, technically the Dolphins are a football team.

"Tom Garfinkel, the President and CEO of the Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, announced on Twitter Tuesday morning that the stadium, which resides in Miami Gardens on the Miami-Dade and Broward County border, will be able to host the Hurricanes home game against Toledo on Sept. 23. "

That's a man, baby!

So.., Good?

fun fact: the roof of Tropicana Field is sloped expressly for the purpose of allowing it to better withstand hurricane force winds

Nevertheless, the Rays are in a series with the Yankees currently, and though the Rays are the "home" team, the series has been relocated to Citi Field in Queens.

Gee you mean someone building a multi-million dollar stadium was not an absolute moron?

Honestly I expect all this new crap to be built so that the winds rip it off because we must make it cool and who cares if it gets nuked the taxpayer will just build us a new one.

Worst "football" experience ever: watching the Miami Dolphins play the New York Jets (yes, even worse than watching the Cleveland Browns play; at least with the Browns, there is the likelihood that at least one team involved in the game doesn't completely suck).

Hey there will be plenty of $6 hotdogs and $5 bottles of water at the stadium. So you can get some food and water while your watching football.

The owner of the Dolphins just put up a half a billion of his own money to renovate the stadium just last year.  No taxpayer funds, as it should be.

/after the Marlins taxpayer funded stadium fiasco, it will be a long time before another taxpayer funded stadium happens in South Florida.

Sounds like you're making fun of the Texas Rangers, who were shocked to discover it gets hot in summer in Texas.

And you should be.

Actually, probably not. The Dolphins owner was the only one to vote against the Raiders move to Vegas, because he said teams and owners owe more to their communities. The Dolphins owner may be the only one who wouldn't look to take advantage of public money.

As a dolphin fan since ~1970 (when i was 6 years old), I would like to say, in the strongest possible terms, to all you guys ridiculing the dolphins: you're not wrong.
