Enough of this "any ignorant asshole can be a congressman or even president" shiat

Require a farking degree and certification that they know and understand the constitution

And get rid of the farking electoral college and repeal the laws that allowed lobbyists to infiltrate congress

Then this nation will be great again

Look at the bright side: Moran-Americans have been traditionally underrepresented in our congressional houses. That's changing now.

American voters will elect continually elect clowns right in the middle of the circus so long as the clown lies to them

FTFY subby.

The general public only wants to hear what they want to hear.  No truth.  No honesty.  Heaven forfend you actually tell people that they need to change to make their life better and that if they don't, then their life will get worse.  Because then they have to take responsibility for their life.

Honest question, why hasn't a single reporter started off their interview with "can you tell me the three branches of government?" "Who is fourth in line for the presidency?" I have a pretty good feeling basic knowledge is beyond them and will expose them for what they are.

You imply that the racist shiatbags who are supporting these clowns give two shiats about these assholes being exposed.  They don't. 15 years ago Trump would have been an amusing footnote, now he's the beginning of a hopefully short lived movement.

We require citizenship tests that most legislators today couldn't pass and possibly it might be a good idea to have some kind of requirement for those who hold an office to pass some kind of test that would show their competency to hold it and knowledge of what it entails.

No, it was the repeal of Glass Steagal and the decision that corporations were people that did it, or sealed the nail on the coffin of any real person having a chance at true representation. That's when it gets me mad sometimes when people automatically think term limits will be a good thing. Lobbyists don't have term limits, and if they are the ony ones there for a long time in DC, then they have more knowledge than the representatives do, and that's not good. I think it shouldn't be a 'bad' thing to have a 'career poltician' as long as he or she is a GOOD one. Those are the ones we want to keep.

Exposing won't make any difference.  The clown running for US Senate in Alabama, Roy Moore, didn't know what DACA was when he was asked.  Later he explained that was a worthless Washington insider acronym anyway, and "real" people don't care about such things.  And the numbskull voters who will likely ultimately elect him agreed.

Funny thing is that I only learned what Kid Rock's real name was when I went to Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York a few weeks ago.  The priest, whose name was Robert Ritchie, said he was not running for any political office.  A little Googling later helped me figure out why he felt necessary to mention that.

So, shut down all women's reproductive centers. Shut down options and availability to birth control. Force women to have kids if they get pregnant, but penalize them for doing so. And, of course, no fault on the men. After all, it's all the women's fault for tempting men with their wiles. These people have the Madonna-whore complex going, hard-core.

Politics, to a lot of the R party, is like a football game.  They won, so Libs can suck it.  Their identity is so powerfully tied to the Republican party, that they don't/can't understand that they're in the same boat as us once the election is over.

So, you think you shouldn't be allowed to petition the government for redress of grievances?

Or perhaps you think groups like Planned Parenthood, The Sierra Club, and Unions should be banned from raising money for any political purpose?

At what point do other countries stop taking us seriously as a world power?  When do embassies start to close?  When does the G20 become the G19?  Or does our big swinging dick military demand that people listen to us?

Umm, politics and entertainment have always been synomimous in US elections.  The era of utra-ragional voters voting only on the issues without any other concern has never occured.  And if you go look at actual campaign related materials crom the past, we arent even in the top 5 elections of wtf.  The mid 1800s had explicit race-baiting on a scale that beggers anything Trump did.  We rosecolor the past and shiatcolor the present.

There may be hope in Alabama, the democrat, Doug Jones is polling well against Moore or Strange. This is without much support from the DNC. Hoping Moore get the republican nomination, I think he could be defeated.
