It's not torture any more. It's "enhanced employment techniques"

2017-09-08 08:07:52 PM
No, you farkwit, they were not.

Khalid el-Masri was tortured. Jose Padilla was tortured.  Thousands of other people- who's names we will never know- have been tortured in the name of the United States, and these two animals were cheering on that torture. They willingly signed up to work for a person who is supper happy to torture people.

Those two- and all the others like them- make me wish that hell was a real place.

They took a job at the Nut-Kicking Hut and they got their nuts kicked. They get no pity.

All you had to do was walk away. Just leave the tanker and the pump, the whole compound and walk away.

We'll give you safe passage in the wasteland.

They failed to mention 45 dicking Spicey over with the pope.

2017-09-08 09:43:47 PM
Spicey and Rinse took their jobs thinking that they would be able to manage Trump and that when he grasped the enormous responsibility he'd taken on, he'd look to them for help and change his ways.  They learned nothing from history, and for that were punished while they were in the White House.

They probably think the punishment is over now, too.  Sorry boys, wrong again.

Yeah...no they weren't.

2017-09-08 11:11:30 PM
There were many political experts that refused to get in bed with Trump even if it meant working at the White House.  All the signs were there.  That Priebus and Spicer ignored those signs for glory doesn't earn much sympathy.

I you call what happened to them torture, what do you call what's been happening to us?

2017-09-08 11:18:28 PM
Yeah, tortured, like Hannity was waterboarded.

2017-09-08 11:18:33 PM

Gyrfalcon: Yeah...no they weren't.

I'd have to respectfully disagree.  In their positions, all they have is their good looks and their felicity with words and concepts.  The latter was taken away pretty cruelly, and the former I just put in to snicker at.  However I will say that they walked into the dungeon, looked at the iron maiden, the rack, thumbscrew, and the expanding pear, took a breath, and then they both said "Looks Homey!  I think I'll fit right in here!"

I think I have the transcript that exculpates Trump from any responsibility: they were asking for it!

I am your spaniel; and, Demetrius Donald,
The more you beat me, I will fawn on you:
Use me but as your spaniel, spurn me, strike me,
Neglect me, lose me; only give me leave,
Unworthy as I am, to follow you.
What worser place can I beg in your love,--
And yet a place of high respect with me,--
Than to be used as you use your dog?

Hope they're actually tortured at some point for their role in the undermining of America by the Trumpenfurher as well. Get Delta team on the job. I'm sure they have a Glokta and some practicals.

Yeah, he seemed to have moments of clarity where he realized he was defending the indefensible and had the good grace to look embarrassed. Nonetheless, he persisted.

I have very little sympathy for anyone who went to work for Trump (with the possible exception of Mattis since someone had to be Defense Secretary). No matter your motives you were still wallowing in shiat.

That's fun, let's actually torture them and see how true they think that is afterwards.

If only there was some way they could have ceased being in their jobs, some phrase they could have said to their employer that indicated they would no longer be doing their assigned job and would not be showing up to work anymore.

No one to blame but themselves.

Its not torture. They were just placed in a position to sell a new set of farfetched, unethical political bullshiat over the old and failed.

why spicey didn't jut get on a commercial flight and come home is beyond me. trump treated him shiatty and for five minutes or so spicey had my sympathy. then he stayed around. hell for two weeks after the mooch shoved him out. the man has no self respect.

All it really takes is one to crack. Given Trumps embrace of the Libby libs to pass stuff, RNC types may not need a personal motive to turn. It will just help.

Man, Trump has no clue what monster he created. At best, he will be a punchline for the rest of his life. Hopefully from jail, but I'll accept less.

Mattis figured he would be the only adult in the room, and since that particular room has nukes, he decided to take the job.  I'm sure he cringed, but he took it.  For the greater good.

Or, as they call it in North Korea, Trump put them through "voluntary rehabilitation through labor" (yes, they actually call their gulags that over there). If they weren't getting government checks for it and had to rely on Trump to pay them, it would be more like "voluntary rehabilitation through voluntarily unpaid labor until their checks finally arrive in the mail".

Totrured? No.

Abused, quite possibly. I would expect no less working for creeps such as Baby Dick Duvalier and Chief Strategist Gin Blossoms. But that's not torture.

Seems to me like the current trend is that more "traditional" Republicans are setting up the narrative that they are/were the REAL victims of Trump.

Bunch of pricks.
