Good to know.

All this time I thought gun sales were skyrocketing because of opposition to Trump.

Please let it be conservative talk radio, no one in this country deserves to suffer more!

Maybe this liberal will finally get one on sale somewhere.

The big (and only one in town) gun store held their going out of business sale directly after Trump's inauguration. I guess they found out that Obama ran out of time to take their guns so they didn't need to stock pile anymore.

Guns? I bet it's guns.

Trump is making America great again so we don't need as many guns.  What don't you libby lib libs understand?

We bought 8 guns under Obama, but that was only because of the timing of the kids growing up, not because of fear.

They needed their own shotguns and pistols for competition shooting, and then the older one got interested in cheap Russian rifles and affordable AR-15s.

Haven't bought any in over a year--all full up on what we "need".

/Yes, I know "need" sounds crazy to half of you people.

How can they be struggling with knockout sales pitches like this:

Fire, Fury and Power

North Korea has been making headlines over the last few months with their continuous testing of ballistic missiles.  The President of the United States has warned North Korea that these threats will not be taken lightly and will respond.  America will not be bullied by a dictator and these colors do not run!

These times go down in history and will be told to future generations.  To show how America feels, we introduce the Fire Fury and Power rifle.  It carries the quote of the President and the weak actions of a dictator.  For only $699, this historic item can be yours!  Only 50 numbered rifles will be made in this edition.  Engraved on a fully functional Ruger 10/22 .22 long rifle, this will become a one-of-a-kind.
Call today and get yours!

Because when the Kim family starts knocking on your door, you'll want that bedazzled .22 to keep them in line.

Gosh, you mean after years of beating a drum of fear about how we all needed to buy every last gun we could RIGHT NOW before Obama took them all away (which never happened, nor was it ever going to happen), the market collapses when they can't fearmonger anymore?

Huh.

You know, the only solution to this issue is for the Gun companies and their millionaire owners to secretly fund gun grabbers for office so that they can sell fear again.

Obviously, when I think of fire, fury, and power, I think of .22 LR.  Where do I send the money?

I'm loving it. I wasn't a dumbass panic buyer, so I didn't take a hit. Now a days at the local gun store, they're practically throwing guns and ammo at you to get them off the shelf.

Or they're incompetent and actually trying to shoot me. Either way, I win.

2017-09-08 10:28:23 PM
Love my guns, but I can't wait to hear people whine about taking a loss on guns they vastly overpaid for under Obama to pay for the policies under Trump. Suckers.

2017-09-08 10:37:44 PM
I certainly enjoy being able to find .22 LR ammo on shelves again regularly. You know, now that the crazies aren't buying it by the pallet the second it's off the delivery truck.

I know two people who paid $1000 for generic ARs after Sandy Hook because Obama.

Sometimes I wish I had fewer scruples so I could make more money.

Not sure that I'd consider coming off a bubble to be a bad thing. Might suck for some of the gun companies, but it is great for those of us that need to restock the safe after years of high prices.

My reloading supplies need a bit of attention

Picked up a Springfield XD-E 9mm two weeks ago. Springfield was running a special and didn't want to pass it up. DA/SA trigger takes a little getting used to, but I like it. Good deals to be had right now.

I keep meaning to make big moves in the market when obvious shiat happens. And I always forget to do it. Nintendo makes good console - buy Buy BUY! Nintendo makes bad console - GTFO.

Same thing with conservative administrations and the gun industry. When they're in charge, you treat that gun industry like it's got polio AND chlamydia.

It's unfortunate that you then have to become one of those crazies if you want to get any .22 ammo.

/Or, you know, buy it online.

Says the guy that's never been shot in the face or chest by a .22.  Virtually no recoil, fast reload rate... It's a dangerous and accurate home defense weapon, and it has the added bonus of making accidents far from fatal.

Despite what you're hearing, gun companies aren't suffering.  This year is still on track to be one of the top 3 or 4 in gun sales ever.

The NRA isn't an industry, nor does it represent one.  The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is the gun industry lobbying organization.  The NRA is a user group.  A very powerful user group, yes, but still a user group.  Almost unique among user groups, it has more political and economic power than the industry itself.  That's probably why people mistake it for an industry lobbying group.
