Why can't Trump spend this weekend golfing?

2017-09-08 10:36:02 AM
He's going to personally inspect the premises and bring 150 of his closest advisors with him. Don't worry everyone, he'll arrange the lodgings.

Just why in the Hell is God rewarding the prick?
One hurricane, mehh. But two is absolutely showing favoritism.
Which televangelist will go there? Hurricane surges absolutely do not float all boats.
Fire is a favored remodeling device, but for Trump, you need the bigliest storms evar.
The bigliest foul wind evar.

Watching the pundits trying to spin Mar-a-Lago's destruction would be fun.  It would, of course, be such a tragedy, such an overwhelming loss.  Look at our brave President, gamely carrying on when his own home is in ruins...

IF you think he hates Mexicans now, wait and see what happens if Jose destroys his "Winter White House"

It will of course be rebuilt by well-paid american-born laborers.

So, I'm guessing that Mueller is going to be hearing a lot of "I'd like to show you that evidence but it was stored at Mar-A-Lago." in the future.

2017-09-08 11:38:01 AM
I think they should rename Irma and call it Cheeto.

bloobeary: So, I'm guessing that Mueller is going to be hearing a lot of "I'd like to show you that evidence but it was stored at Mar-A-Lago." in the future.

MUELLER: Yeah, about that.  It seems kind of odd that Mar-a-Lago would burn down in the middle of a hurricane and flood, right as we ask to see your tax records.
TRUMP: Funny, innit?  Man, those storms, you never know what's gonna happen.
MUELLER: Yeah, and all those melted gasoline cans and burnt matches that were all over the place-
TRUMP: Fake news!  Didn't happen!
MUELLER: . . . and Donald Trump Junior was admitted to the hospital with burns over half of his body.
TRUMP: He was playing a hot round of golf!
MUELLER: Witnesses say he was still clutching a gas can when he was wheeled into the hospital-
TRUMP: He was just fueling up Air Force One!
MUELLER: -and repeatedly asking, 'Did I get it all?  Did I get it all?  Is daddy going to be mad at me again?"
TRUMP: That's it.  He's grounded.
MUELLER: He's in the burn ward.  Anyway, a number of witnesses have come forth to tell us that you have duplicate records in Trump Tower.
TRUMP: Uh, one sec, I need to make a phone call.  *dials* Ivanka?  I need you to do something for me.

Insurance? Ha. He'll make the US government pay for it since the confederate white house after all.

He will, just not in Florida.

His place in St. Martin got wiped out, so that's pretty cool. Excuse me, the shell company's place in St. Martin.

2017-09-08 12:24:34 PM
It would be very tempting to loot it before/after the storm.

2017-09-08 12:26:17 PM
Too bad he's not there.

twistedknickers:  the confederate white house

I shall evermore refer to it by this name.

2017-09-08 12:26:23 PM
Surely it's not wrong of me to hope that someone forgot to renew both wind AND flood insurance on the place, is it?

"That house ain't going nowhere. That house has never been seriously damaged. That construction, stop and think about it. There were 300 guys that worked on the outside of that building."

Well, I'd say that's pretty irrefutable right there. I think the number of people working on the exterior of a building has long been the gold standard for structural soundness.

I have no idea if the hurricane will damage that property. But that hurricane certainly could damage that property if it decided that's what it wants to do. I'm no butler of course but if the storm is big enough and hits the right way it will damage anything short of an actual reinforced bunker.

2017-09-08 12:30:33 PM
Storm?  Are you referring to the fresh hell Friday news dump?  I'm sure the collapsing of a palace would be a welcome distraction.

I'm ... I'm having a vision. Kinda blurry but coming into focus. Huge waves, horizontal rain, something big, blocks of blue, orange red stacked on top of each others. Lots of these rectangular blocks. They're on a large ship that's lost power and is being driven by the wind and waves. It's a large containership out of control. Now it's being driven towards the beach like a giant battering ram. The wind lifts one container off the top and launches it like a test volley and it slams through the roof of the gazebo.

And he paid them 30% of the previously agreed-upon cost.

I hope it flattens the place so we can all watch Trump cry about a golf course, not all the people who died in the storm.

2017-09-08 12:33:48 PM
You know his dumb ass will tweet all about the damage at Mar a Lago, while totally trivializing the rest of the storm's damage.

What are the odds that a few unlucky Secret Service agents need to stay at the place through the storm? I know they keep a presence at Trump Tower even though he isn't there.

While I hate to see Florida sustain any damage from these hurricanes, it would be a strange bit of Irony if Jose flattens the club.

2017-09-08 12:41:54 PM
Nonsense...certainly our president has sufficiently divested himself from any prior business holdings in an effort to maintain an objective perspective upon entering the White House.

Hey now, he is entitled to those relief funds since he pays his taxes fair and square just like Joel Osteen and Wesley Snipes.

2017-09-08 12:44:53 PM
I'm surprised he isn't calling for a wall of bloated fan-base support to block the hurricane.
Those folks could park their mobility scooters side-by-each & lock arms.

2017-09-08 12:44:54 PM
Unless Joffrey ends up drowning in filthy storm water, I can't really chortle about any hurricane hitting Floriduh. Whether he has adequate insurance on his properties or not, I doubt any weather will hurt his bottom line.

As usual, the phenomenon that does the most damage to him is his own stupidity. Unfortunately, it hasn't led to his death yet, so here we all are.

What level of asshole do you have to be to commission a painting of yourself?!

If Mar-a-Lago is totally obliterated, maybe then the right wing will believe that God REALLY doesn't want The Orange Idiot in the White House. And it would be icing of the cake if he hadn't paid the insurance premiums because he had decided to just sue the company instead.

2017-09-08 12:53:02 PM
Does it really matter if Mar-a-Lago is destroyed in a hurricane? After all, the feds are going to seize it after the impeachment anyways.

/I prefer to think positively

I don't see how this could possibly happen with all the thoughts and prayers going around.

I just envisioned Trump tied by his ankles to a tree outside of Mar-a-Lago with a bungee cord.  That would be fun to watch via a video link-up just as the hurricane is in full rage:

I see a multi-billion dollar package for Mar-a-Lago disaster relief in the future, even if Irma misses FL completely.

Fifty bucks says the conversation about compensation for potential mar a lago damage on the federal dime has already happened.

So if it's so safe, does that mean they'll be opening it up as a shelter?
