FTFA: Such chaos and confusion at the highest level of American government hadn't been seen since, well, the day before.

Yup. Every day Trumpy says or does the stupidest thing either. Until the next day.
And the then the next day.
And the then the next day.

Trump's move to work with the Democrats is highly amusing.  "Fark you retards, we've got work to do" has to sting, coming from a guy like Trump.

I saw a meme on Facebook that said something like: don't blame Trump; he tried a hundred different ways to tell us he was unfit for office.

What I'm saying is, are we really surprised he had no farking idea what he's doing?

Bullsh*t. Trump's goal is to help Trump, enrich Trump, be the greatest Trump ever.

He'll help you one minute and then ok your execution the next, if it benefits him. That's all you need to know about his actions.

Let me guess what'll happen.

Trump works more with the Dems. Does a few good things. The Republicans stew. Suddenly the Dems start liking him more and more. He passes legislation to help Harvey and Irma victims as well as raise the debt ceiling limit and even pass a budget that isn't all "tax the poors into oblivion!!!!" though it hurts the working classes more than anything else. There are praises from some on the right, some in the center, some on the left that sh*t is getting done. The GOP is furious that their tax plan is in flames and people actually were helped. The Dems are thumping their chest that "hell yeah, we stood up to him and he is working with us, F U Republicans."

And DACA expires and all the other crap he's been pulling that is racist and bigoted just keeps on existing and isn't ever touched. And jobs keep leaving our nation and wages keep stagnating and monopolies continue to increase.

He has a wedge and a claim on both sides. Dems and Repubs defend him. A little pressure and *pop* go the parties.

Let's dispel this fiction once and for all that Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing.

This article is exactly right. Trump is not running a brilliant long con. He is not a secretive super-agent working on an invisible Russian plot. He is not purposefully releasing bad news to distract from equally bad news. He is not a 6d chess player who is anticipating every bad thing that happens to him.

Trump is an idiot who doesn't understand how the world works. He's in a room with thousands of buttons and he doesn't know what any of them do. He pushes one and some people say nice things to him. He pushes another and some people say bad things about him. He pushes the first button again and the same people now say bad things about him. He has no idea what's going on. That's the scenario that best fits everything Trump has said and done.

It's likely not even dementia. If you took a middle schooler and put them in charge of a nuclear submarine they would make a bunch of dumb and senseless decisions. That's Trump except he's not much smarter than a middle schooler and running the United States is much more complicated than one sub.

It recently dawned on him that he'll be much more popular as a Democratic president. And that's all that matters, is it not?

You expect Trump not to support the idiot move to inch out the debt limit to a point where it is most opportune to fail to get reincreased instead of using the hurricane bill to take the debt limit off the table for 18 months?

You'd think he's smart enough to see a button and know to push it. He sees a button and tries to dial it right and left. He sees a switch and blows on it. He sees a lever and tries to hear the sound it makes.

Oh look. The media is taking bait.

"President Donald Trump delivered a stunning rebuke to Republican leaders Wednesday when he opted to side with the Democrats' plan for a short-term increase in the debt ceiling. In doing so, he returned to the forefront a question that repeatedly surfaced during his campaign for the White House: Is Trump truly a Republican?"

He's gone his whole life just winging it -- doesn't read, doesn't prepare, doesn't research or investigate, and just says the first thing that comes to his mind that resolves the most immediate situation -- and he's gotten this far so why would he stop?

He has no grand strategy. He just tries to win each moment as it happens. And if he doesn't or can't, he finds someone else to blame.

Ah, he is apparently.

Donald Trump's dalliance with Democrats continued Thursday, as the Republican president sent out a tweet at the request of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

During a phone conversation initiated by Trump, Pelosi asked the president to send a tweet making clear that the so-called Dreamers would not be subject to deportation during a six-month window Congress has been given to come up with a legislative solution to Trump's discontinuation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Pelosi then relayed the message to colleagues at a whip meeting on Thursday morning, a Democratic aide told Newsweek.

"As Common Cause notes in its position paper, 'In 2002, more than half of TV stations in the nation's top 50 markets completely ignored state and congressional elections in their highest rated local news programs in the weeks leading up to those elections, with large station owners offering the least election coverage of all.'

McChesney takes it further, saying, 'What little coverage there is, is mostly gossip, spin, and speculation, or basically what's spoon-fed to them by party elites and insiders and big shots accepting all their biases as the appropriate way to view the world. It's impossible to exaggerate just how nutritionless this so-called journalism is.'

In other words, viewers of most stations get lots of Donald Trump news, but almost nothing about city council elections or even state representatives."

Oh absolutely.
