Whilst everyone around him on other islands drowns in their own feces? That's pleasant of him.

Branson always loved his gang bangs.

They're gonna have to come pretty loud to be heard over those winds.

I pity the cleanup crew.

I wonder where his jet is.  I bet it's out of harm's way somewhere.  Everything else is getting seriously battered.

You buy your own island for a reason.  Let's measure him by what he does when it's over.  He might open his pocketbook, you never know.

I like the implication that he's still undecided on the "goodness" of a massive hurricane bearing down on the U.S. Talk about an open mind

Wouldn't surprise me.
People get affected more the closer things are to home. Literally and figuratively.

/caveat, he might open up his pocketbook to BUY the neighbors property
//for his sake, I hope the cellar is actually designed as a bunker

That's actually not a bad thing if the storm taught them that their home is on a floodplain and their property is now worthless, as has happened with Harvey. After Floyd, the state of NC just ended up buying a lot of floodplain land from residents.

Have to admit to being impressed.
Definitely a movie storyline in there - but my mind went into pron mode....

Billionaire + buffed pool guys + hand picked guests + maids + housekeepers  + booze + 48 hours to kill....

It occasionally is, actually.

The southeast tends to drought if it doesn't get the occasional hurricane to refill lakes and rivers.

Is it reallly his job to protect everyone within X radius around him? Obviously he probably should and i would in most circumstances, but it's not really his bag, baby. I don't want to start asking tax returns from people so I can assign what number of others they are required to help.

He speaks to the common clay, especially when they just get off a shift at the ranch, having said that "The horse kicking me in the crotch could be not good" just before shaking it off and going to the bar to slam whiskey and beer until the pain goes away. Because he's a MAN, baby, and he don't need no doctor tellin' him not to slam his dick into a horse's hoof.

NewportBarGuy: Whilst everyone around him on other islands drowns in their own feces? That's pleasant of him.

How many islands around him should he be gathering up the people from Noah's ark style? What's the maximum distance he should ship them in over? How many more people do you think that they could fit in for those two days to the rooms TFA showed? How many people on the surrounding islands you expect him to ship over to his island are still actually there vs how many have evacuated as suggested?

It's easy to make a criticism like you just made, I'm just not sure it really makes much sense when you think about it a little more. I'm no fan of the obscenely wealthy caste myself, but as long as he's taking care of the folks on his own island and riding things out with the rest of his peeps and not alone in some sort of super-secret luxury escape submarine or something then he's alrighty in my book, on this one.

I got nothing against him, I made it to a few of the Virginfests he had in MD over the years. I did miss him guest bar tending at the 2009 event with Flavor Flav though.

How terrible, he's throwing a hurricane party and hanging out with the staff instead of flying away and locking up the booze leaving them to survive on their own.

HUNTER:Oh! That poor woman has the saddest tits. Damned depressing.

BROCK:Right! Yeah, they're like The Notebook sad.

HUNTER: Her tits are like coming home from school and finding out your old man ran over your cat sad.

BROCK:Mournful. She has mournful tits. They're like two suicide notes stuffed in a glitter bra.

HUNTER:Those things are like a little kid with progeria cracking all his ribs trying to catch a Nerf ball. Just sad. Damnit she has gloomy tits!

BROCK:It's like she put a dollars worth of change into some old socks and then taped 'em to her chest!

HUNTER:I wanna build two little caskets and give her tits a tasteful, dignified funeral.

He came to Seattle not long ago for something, and he made sure to wear a bright red plaid logger looking shirt.  Just so we know that he knows he is in Seattle, where loggers once ruled, until the big trees ran out.

Branson?? I'm pretty sure he will. Got no hate for him. Just wouldn't publicize this right now. Tell the story afterwards, but now? I'll bet he's getting the shiat knocked out of him right now.

Hope they make it safe and sound.

My wine cellar is better if only because it's not cluttered with "staff".

/He rocks though, for taking care of his workers like that
