So Katia is supposed to churn around in the gulf for a few days, gradually getting stronger, and after that, the metereologists think it will make landfall somewhere in Mexico. There are a lot of factors in that, especially how long Katia mills about - the weather around could change, which gets more likely the longer that ir doesn't make landfall.

I keep asking, but never seem to get an answer. Just what is considered normal for the climate? And News Flash for you. The Climate is Changing. It has been changing since day one, and I will continue to change till the world is consumed by the sun.

I mean, did you know that there was a time when the Sarah was lush grasslands, hmmmmm... And there will be a time when it will once again be lush grass lands. hmmmm...

Do you honestly expect us to believe that no one has ever pointed out to you that the pace of this change is the issue?

That the cumulative effects of our global civilization's industrial activities are forcing the kind of changes which used to take tens of thousands to millions of years to happen in just a century or two?

That no one has pointed out to you that these changes will result in huge costs to us financially, in human suffering terms, and in the loss of great swaths of biodiversity as animal and plant species which can't evolve on this scale will be extincted as part of the great extinction event happening right now?

That wars and other violent conflicts will be - and already are - triggered by the pressures these swift changes will put on vulnerable human populations?

That you've never seen/heard anyone mention that all of this bullshiat could be mitigated if not reversed if we simply agreed to collectively be smarter and more responsible about how we carry out our industrial/consumer activities/technologies?

That we should stop letting reckless, irresponsible, greedy scumbags and the organizations they run - and the patsies in the public who enable them - literally poison our land, seas, and air in the name of profits most of us will never see anyway?

None of us are stupid enough to think that by now anyone over the age of 7 has not had these things pointed out to them. So your post comes off as so defiantly stupid as to require one of only a handful of explanations.
1. You're trolling. This is a troll account. Or
2. You're intellectually incapable of understanding how ridiculous that argument of yours was. You're just not smart enough to understand concepts which are pretty basic ans understandable to most homo sapiens sapiens. Or
3. You are smart enough, but choose to be willfully ignorant, for any number of reasons which basically boil down to, "you like being an asshole."

I mean, I'm KIND of glad the talking points for the anti-reality set have at least evolved from, "climate change is a hoax, because reasons" to "climate change is natural, and we're not changing things ourselves because reasons"... but it's still stupid farking talking points puked up by some partisan marketing outfit to get people to deny basic reality.

Don't expect that dumbass shiat to fly around here. It has very little power here on Fark.

It seems a bit harsh to hold someone for 72 hrs over flat screens.
Do even have have round screens, or just those curved things?

70 mph sustained winds at the moment, NOAA will likely declare in the next couple of hours. It's strengthening much faster than they anticipated.
