Am I the only one praying it literally blows Mar-a-Lago out to sea and touches nothing else at all?

All jokes aside, I hope it wings around and goes out to sea to screw up shipping and not fark Florida.

Key West is under mandatory evacuation starting tomorrow night. If she doesn't get out, hopefully someone gets her out.

Don't panic, Trump has numerous facilities he can go to.

We're bugging out on Friday......
Every hotel north (Indian River County here) is booked.
Just happens that my wife has a little "pull" with her company, and got us a room in Titusville.

Good luck, and prayers for those who decide to stay!

The Orange Menace might spend more time in DC if that happens. Do you really want him to spend more time in DC? When he's at Mar-a-Lago, he's not threatening to nuke Finland.

I've seen people, including some on local TV talk shows that I edited, blame Obama for the financial crisis, so yeah.

Attention people in Florida: You have several days to get the hell out before the storm hits, so you don't have to be stranded and crying that nobody is helping you. So, get the hell out.

2017-09-05 06:06:52 PM
That is NOT fair, evacuating the Republicans first.

2017-09-05 06:12:02 PM
I posted something similar in another thread that now seems dead.
This isn't a storm that blew up to cat 4 or 5 right of the coast. Irma, if she doesn't weaken will have been churning for a long time. I can't even imagine the storm surge.
Run for the hills!

He said probably freaking out that the winds will disrupt the shallow graves he puts his victims in.

Hopefully, it will blow the doors off his "secret cellar."
Neighbors will watch in amazement as dozens of Dominican boys run out screaming "LIBERTAD! LIBERTAD!'

As a Floridian I can say yes.......yes it does.

The thing is people with "special needs" are often abandoned in these situations, just look at those pictures from the nursing home in Houston where the owners were asking for help for their patients and were ignored until social media said "hey dudes, go help these folks because you look like shiat".

My wife works with special needs kids in a school, in a fire she is supposed to take them to a stairwell that they swear will resist the fire while everyone else flees.  Honestly get 4 people from the office per wheelchair or even one or two strong backs leaving the chairs behind and they could carry them out, but who cares about the cripples let them "shelter in place" along with my wife who would never leave them and unfortunately can't carry them to safety by herself due to her illness although I am sure she would try.

If the hurricane suddenly veers north up the Atlantic not touching Florida watch how many people get pissed and say, "we evacuated for no reason! Not doing that again."

I went out to get supplies around 1:30 today. I live in one of the least populated towns in Florida and the panic buying had already begun. I got the last water at one store and the last D batteries at another.

And I'm 5-6hrs North of Miami. And on the opposite side of the state.

Then they're stupid, evacuating once or twice a decade when a major storm is coming your way is no big deal even if the path veers, ask folks from New Orleans, Houston, etc what happens when you don't. I'd rather leave unnecessarily 10 times then end up in one bad situation.

Roughly 40 miles NE of Cedar Key. Border of Levy and Alachua counties.

Yeah, that's the middle of nowhere. I've been to 43 States and Cedar Key was one of the most remote towns I've been in, 45 minutes via highway to the nearest Walmart is hard to do.

Why would you not have that stuff in a closet, updating it every first of July?

I've got 80 gallons of water in 2 barrels, 4 cases of MREs and 80 pounds of propane. And I live 500 miles from the coast.

Sorry. But I don't have anything to post of being in danger since I forgot to turn the camera on before I moaned our babysitter's name during sex with my wife yesterday.

I got a few things at publix. All the shopping carts were in use so I only grabbed what I could carry. I'm going back tomorrow during regular work hours so I hope it won't be as crowded. Then I got gas. Had to wait behind one other car but they still had gas. Back in 05, the gas stations ran out of gas all the time.
