Hey Pastor dude, maybe take a second and reflect why your faith was ok with you endorsing and praying over a known racist and misogynist.

And then after you do that, fark the fark off.

Perhaps the sickest piece of this DACA repeal is the reports Trump / the GOP are trying to go to Dems and say "If you give us debt ceiling & budget resolution votes, you can have DACA back."

Trump / GOP have literally decided to play politics with hundreds of thousands of people's lives in an effort to leverage political horse trading in congress.

2017-09-05 02:07:59 PM
i want to feel hope that people are starting to go, "hey maybe this guy isn't a good choice for president."

Then I feel disgust that they straight up refused to see it when he was running.

I just keep asking, "what exactly could Trump have done differently during the campaign to get you to see what a fark up he was?"

bonus points for not referring to democrats, HRC, Liberals, etc.

That is my question for all these people.  So far, i'm getting just blank stares and random conspiracy theories about Hillary.

You know what, I for one am sick and farking tired of always seeing this shiat coming and ending up being right about it.

I didn't want to be right.  I knew he was horrible but I actually do love my country and I wanted Trump to rise to the occasion and be a halfway decent president.  I knew it was highly unlikely, but I didn't WANT to be right.

I'm so sick of seeing this shiat coming and being told "oh no, filthy liberal, you have it ALL wrong".  Bullshiat!

Which implies there are repubs that are currently unwilling to support the legislation. The dems should tell them to pound sand. There is literally no political reason for them to capitulate.

That being said, they'll still fark it up and this will somehow pass.

We will not distinguish between Republicans and Democrats but between those who stand for righteousness and justice and those who do not," he said in the statement.

I've asked my roommate about this (he grew up poor in KY), and he explained it to me like this:

When you lack critical thinking skills, you cannot weigh one thing against another. The issue doesn't even make sense. For example, the question; "Would it be okay for starving people in North Korea to eat cats?" For these people (he claimed 75% of Americans but I dearly hope that's horribly wrong), cats are pets, and you never eat cats. Only monsters eat cats. They can't even see beyond "Don't eat cats" to consider that people are starving to death.

This makes sense to me when looking at the 30%. Trump said he loooooves Jesus and America. Therefore leopards eating faces is one of those crazy unrelated tragedies. Can't have anything to do with Trump. Unless it's because of people resisting his love. Because he said he loves Jesus and America. End of story.

It makes sense. But it doesn't make me any more hopeful.

I'm going to go on a limb and say the evangelical outrage over DACA is explained by Mammon worship.

Regular church attendees are far more likely to fatten those collection plates.

"The Death of Expertise"

Conservatives are slowly, very slowly, waking up to realize the monster they have created. Reading Tom Nichols and Rick Wilson has given me some solace that they are not all mind numbing mouth breathers.

Damn this process is slow, though...

Yeah, I just read his whole statement and it's so clumsy in how he obviously avoids mentioning Trump - the very reason this is even an issue as Trump could have simply done nothing and let DACA continue - and puts all the onus on Congress.

It's almost as though he's probably a total moron, who's choosing to keep petting the leopard while it's eating his face off WHILE HE STILL PETS IT.

In his phone call with Mexican President:

It is a political prop and he knows it. Sure he will talk about it from time to time but he doesn't really give a fark about actually doing it.

Easy to talk loud when you know it's going to fail. Again, a political prop used to rile people up.
