Obama should have known Trump would do the opposite of what he said just to spite him.  The letter should have said 'embrace white supremacists and bomb North Korea.'

But seriously, Obama obviously was smart enough to know exactly what Trump's stumbling blocks would be.  I miss him so much.  And I miss the days when our biggest worries were tan suits and Dijon mustard.

President Obama isn't a perfect man nor a perfect president, perfection doesn't exist. However, for a President of the United States of America in the 21st Century, the man was probably as close to a saint as we could possibly get as our leader.

I have some hope that we're going to survive this current presidency and come out the stronger for it, though it might take a generation. But I don't think, for the rest of my life, I'm going to be able to see this time period as when America en masse let President Obama down.

We put out "Yes We Did" stickers after his 2008 election, and that's when it started. Our fat, lazy complacent asses, the farkheads that talk about progress and don't vote, just the whole thing. We were given not the president we deserved, but the one we needed. And all we had to do was work a little, and we didn't. And now America has the president it deserves, one that's trying to destroy everything Obama built. I hope this shiat finally wakes us up, but I'm always going to feel really bad thinking about Obama's perspective.

Massive opposition and idiocy, and he still managed to do more in a single presidency than just about anyone else, and now he has to watch us stumble around, fark it all up, ruin most of his accomplishments (or at least tarnish them terribly), and worst of all, he has to watch this sentient 4chan board in an oversized suit and a horcrux wig diminish the office he elevated and the country he tried to heal.

I just, Jesus Christ guys, we suck so bad in this country.

I don't know that Obama was the best president ever. I have a few bones to pick with him, especially as regarding drone warfare.

But Trump presidency's and its MOTHERFARKING WEEKLY CRISISES is really putting it all into stark relief.

The only good news about Hurricane Harvey has been 1. Trump put a former FEMA manager into the top spot which Congress barely managed to approve in time, and 2. It's relegated his farking tweets to the back burner for a few weeks.

Did we ever get to see the letter George Bush wrote for Obama? I always assumed it said something along the lines, "I broke the oval office toilet too, lol."

Anyway, that was a neat letter. . . another constant reminder of how classy Obama was in stark contrast to President Trump. I have no idea what Trump's letter to his successor will look like-assuming he'll even get to write one-but going off of the open letter he wrote to John Travolta and Kelly Preston about the death of their son, in which Trump lamented that Kelly Preston wouldn't cheat on John Travolta for him, it's going to be a treat!

The US was making progress and recovering from the last GOP mess, and instead of evolving and modernizing in the face of immigrants and those evil coloreds succeeding and finally starting to gain equality, the dredges of society voted to try to take the country back to the 1800s to stiggit.
