De Roma... that sounds like it's an Italian name. Someone should teach that papist a lesson and show him he ain't welcome here.

Reopening soon as a White Power Club.  His supporters already started coming in.

The name doesn't need to even change.

You know, it really takes a lot for the entire staff at a bar to walk out...good on them.

He's apparently learning there are consequences to free speech.

Owner was right: His action was free speech.  The people who work there were also free to tell him to go to hell and run his own damn bar by himslelf.  Actually proud of those people - quitting a job is really putting your money where you mouth is.  Hope the place loses so much business it has to close for good.

An inverse of the old joke: "Everyone walks out of a bar..."

De Roma defended his donation to local television station WCCO this week as "free speech."
"Well, whatever," De Roma said. "What do you expect? It's basically something that is blown up beyond what it should be."

poor snowflake needs his safe space?  well he's got a whole empty bar to use for it now

But if you really think about it, they're the real problem because they won't let him practice his free speech without consequences, or something.

You could possibly weasel your way out a situation like this if Duke was running in your state, and you could make some lame excuse* about how he's still the better candidate, but to send money to a guy running in another state is pretty unforgivable.  It's clearly an endorsement of his racist agenda.

*In the early 90s, I went to Louisiana to campaign against Duke in a previous Senate bid.  I met some black folks who said they were going to vote for him.  Their reasoning went something like, "Yes, he's a racist, but at least he's honest about it.  The incumbent, on the other hand, is a total crook."  (I believe that incumbent actually spent time in prison for public corruption.  Did I say Louisiana?  Yeah, redundant.)

It is. He exercised his right to donate to a campaign and his employees exercised their right to not work for someone they find morally reprehensible.

Free speech is alive and well.

Yes and no. Once your customers tell you that they ain't coming and if you're paid by tips...

But yes.

and no.

With a name like Club Jäger, you had to figure that they were either Nazis or they had three different playlists of nothing but Pitbull.

They shoould passively, mentally and quietly protest on their own time while not affecting his cashflow, the problem will eventually go away.

*What FARK Not-Racist Nazies actually try to get you to believe

From the article, I have the feeling he doesn't really spend much time in his own bar.  On-site manager runs it.

I hope the news covered all the supporters who showed up for him, and got a lot of footage of them. Interviews and such.

What's that they say? You farked up once you stop arguing your position, and has to resort to defend your right to say it.

There's a military connotation for light infantry but I'm not aware of any particular racial connotation

You know, you weren't all that great to begin with, but it's kind of sad seeing you these days. You're heart isn't in it anymore. I do understand though. You're basically stuck defending the indefensible and all you have is some weak whataboutisms.

I think the actual name is Clubhouse Jäger. The Yelp and Google reviews should be funny. Maybe.

Only selling white power accessories is not a good business plan, people's houses have many different color schemes, pigeonholing themselves into a single color would greatly reduce their business.

Looks like Free Market solutions are working to remind folks what is and is not acceptable.

People don't like taking money from bigots. People don't accept money from bigots. People don't like to do business with bigots. If you keep getting shown the door because you've said something, you might begin to wonder that what you're saying isn't acceptable by most folks.

Socialization works. Some people are just really f*ckin' slow...

Really?  Because it was the name of the Finnish men who trained with the German army and attempted to hand Finland to a German supported King.  They were ardent white supremisits.
