Drip drip drip.
If this thing ties up the whole RNC, maybe the third act payoff will be worth these last 8 months.
Holy crap.

The entire RNC being in on it makes plenty of sense from a high enough vantage point.
They have not been acting like an innocent party almost every step of the way.
American politics may officially be broken beyond repair if Russia was able to buy half of it, and thus far, get away with it.

I think how it went down is the RNC played footsie with pootie to the very razor thin edge of treason.  They enjoyed his capital investment, the access he was willing to provide to enrich the wealthy in both countries and had a wary but beneficial arrangement that was not criminal but as unethical as fark.  Then Trump comes along, crushing expectations and winning the GOP's reliable base's hearts and minds and knew they had to get their boy under control.  So they call Pootie for help and Pootie giggles oh I will take care of him.  I am sure at this point the GOP strongly suspects that Donnie and Pootie have a side deal working but as long as he riles up the base and keeps our eyes on his tweets and BS the GOP felt it was a small price to pay to disable as much progress as they could so they could hustle as much of America and her people that they could profit off of w/o detection.  Like taking little nips of your parents liquor cabinet, here and there, rotate it so by the time they wise up you're already 21 and there's not much they can do and what does it matter anyway?  I never gave much creedence to GOP values but I did think there was a core of loving this country and wanting to help their country succeed.  Now I see they were eyeing America like a horny frat boy watching a drunk freshman get more and more careless and vulnerable.  I am probably paranoid (ok, I am) but it's this feeling I can't shake. The freshmans companions are breaking off, going home, going off with boys of their own, leaving her alone and it's going to be a question of who will rape her 1st

Thanks to the recent news from Manafort's documents, now we know how they achieved that record fundraising.

I went to the dispensary yesterday, they have a $39 1/4 special until it's gone. Some pretty dense nugs, piney taste, really good for the price.

My friends know that's a sure-fire way to get pot from me -- all they have to do is mention scraping resin to smoke, and I'll throw weed at them.  So if you're ever in Alaska ...

Staff.
Staph.
Rash.
MRSA
'Murica

Too much rhyming for my book.

"Hey, I'm getting a rash."
"Hope it's not staph, that's going around."
"I was on staff at the RNC."
"Probably just 'Murica'"
"MRSA?"
"No, 'Murica.'  Close to MRSA, but there's a cure."

True, but I suspect big lobbying firms (and you can hardly get bigger than the US Pimp of Commerce) pay better than the RNC.  You only join the RNC to get there.  You might be seeing folks pulling the ladder up behind them.

Look at how they "governed" for the last 8 years.

Never creating, only refusing and obstructing. They don't care about the country or the people in it.

Their economic policies are laughably outdated, their ideas about insurance are a joke, and they care more about their own bruised ego and hurt feelings than FACTS.

If they have nothing to oppose, they have nothing to offer.

2017-08-31 04:56:53 PM
The GOP in general and the RNC specifically didn't want Trump to be the candidate so who cares.

Trump's different. The GOP and RNC are old news and the base doesn't give a damn about either.

LoL at the idea that any (D) is beyond reproach. It's not just the entire Republican party; it's the system. We need an independent non-elected body that creates and enforces election laws.

It was actually an apt analogy, I thought. It wasn't done as a "joke", and it acknowledge the wrongness of taking advantage of someone drunk, just like it's wrong America is being taken advantage of.

Now if it had laid blame on the victim's door, that would be one thing, but I don't see how your post did that, and thought it was on point.

and I'm out of weed and edgy too.

And what is the alternative to elected body?  An appointed one?

So we would be asking the foxes to pick who guards the hen house

2017-08-31 05:50:38 PM
What does this mean?

Nothing. It means nothing. Do any of you really think half the country is going to wake up and say, "Holy shait, we've made a huge mistake!" No, they're not. There will be a lot of innuendo and suggestion that crimes took place, but there's no way it all comes out and no way that the guilty are ever punished. There's too much money and power behind it. We have started down the corruption trail to becoming a third-world cartoon government like El Salvador or something. The only vision the Republicans have for the future is how much money can they cram into their pockets before the train (which they're driving) comes off the rails and kills everyone.

So lets not start sucking each other's dicks just yet. Nothing is going to happen. A lot of nothing.
