This is the worst, most tone-deaf speech @realDonaldTrump has ever given. Jeb! had better ideas.

Well, she did manage to sneak a bigoted xenophobic rant into the middle of her tirade, but aside from that part, I'm incredibly surprised to be saying this, but she isn't wrong.

Had to do something to get some air time again.  Her stunts were getting stale.  No one was coming to her circus.

"Cutting taxes doesn't do a damn thing for wages if you allow businesses to keep bringing in cheap foreign labor!"

So she thinks he's not being a BIG ENOUGH dick about immigration?

It's great to see "No Muslims" is an item on the Ann Coulter agenda. It's not even a context thing:

Tax cuts are a 2d term issue. 1st term: BUILD THE WALL, End DACA, Deport Illegals, No Refugees, No Muslims, Immigrn Moratorium. SAVE USA!

I wonder what Coulter's angle is on this rant. And if she'll be changing her opinion soon regarding her "fark the rich" comment:

Bush cut taxes! Did it create millions of jobs? Nope. The rich pocketed their tax cut & sent jobs abroad, hired guest workers. F-- them.

"I'm being misquoted!" in 3, 2, 1...

No, Jeb! had actual ideas.

But you didn't want ideas.

You wanted a black man punched in the face and dragged out of a rally.  You wanted a disabled person being mocked.  You wanted a protester to get the crap beaten out of them and then told that any charges brought would be defended by Trump.  You wanted someone that grabbed em' by the pussy.

Well, you got it.  Congratulations.

Now fark off and don't ever vote again.

Skarekrough: No, Jeb! had actual ideas.

Many of his ideas were mainstream republican ideas like school vouchers and ending affirmative action university admissions so there's not a loss to the country/party in that sense. Still, his main problem is he looks like a dweeb next to a typical politician, let alone bullies like Trump. Who wants to elect [someone they perceive as] a pushover? Even Hillary, who was suffering from a combination of Parkinson's, deep brain thrombosis, super flu, alien impregnation, and massive blood loss seemed to enjoy herself at times on the debate stage. I expect Jeb could have gotten more done in a lesser political position instead of getting beat up in a presidential race and losing.

That exposes one of the biggest problems with American elections: the people best suited to administration are often not the best people at running campaigns.  Hillary would have been an excellent president, but she was not a good campaigner.  Same with Jeb; even though I disagreed with his policies, he would have been a very competent president.  People who are both charismatic campaigners and skilled administrators---FDR is probably the best example in our history---are very, very rare.  And as we saw in the last election, when you let people choose between "exciting campaigner, awful administrator" and "boring campaigner, excellent administrator," the former wins.

Since 1980, the two Democrats who won the presidency (twice, each!) have been the ones who were both.

Hillary had the advantage of diplomatic experience and I think she really enjoyed playing with Trump:

img.fark.net

Word on the street is that the rest of the planet has her same feelings of contempt towards Trump. He's now taken over the role of "blowhard that foreign leaders walk out on" from Ahmadinnerjacket. You're right though, she didn't secure the extra votes to win Kris Kobach's states and that became problematic despite the polls.

I never capitalize his name, as he doesn't deserve it (rules of grammar be damned), and I never put the word "president" next to it. I am fond of the moniker "president asterisk." I use D2S or 45* if I'm in a hurry.
