I came into this thread to say "Metro? Probably using old Florida pictures".

So thank you for confirming my intuition.

People go to Brazos Bend State Park just to see the gators.

Well, only if he's not chipped.  Spay and chip, it's only responsible.

Now local US stations are passing these pics off as gators displaced by Harvey:

https://www.clickorlando.com/news/weird-news/add-alligators-to-list-of-dangers-texans-face-during-harvey

 From the above article:
Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies spotted several alligators roaming around in residential neighborhoods.

"Expect them to be displaced. Simply looking for higher ground," FBCSO tweeted. "Leave alone until water recedes."

OK, no they did not see them and no they did not say that.
The tweet was put out 8/24, a full day before Harvey came ashore. The pics are from "Texas Gator Squad" who gave the advice. The FBCSO was just passing it along. Now every idiot news station is saying these pics are of gators displaced by Harvey. Well they must be time-travelling gators then, because they are old pics.

Those actually are Fort Bend County alligators but from a previous flooding storm, not Harvey.

We have gaters in Fort Worth. They removed a six foot one from the Trinity last year. It was chasing dogs along the trail. Gators are all along th coast from Louisiana to Mexico.
