Yeah and miss all the free press? I'd do it every single time. Especially in todays age nation wide free advertising is worth more than holding an order a day over to make a special order.

Considering how many people go through that space, no you don't.  Free advertising is hard to come by.  ESPECIALLY when it likely comes with a large chunk of change attached to it.

It is likely that the wallpaper will be hanging there for many years beyond Trump.

There is a discount store called "ollies" kinda like a disorganized big lots mixed with crap that was not good enought for burlington or tuesday morning.

They have Trump hand towels, bath towels, and shower curtains, all in the bargain bin of the bargain bin.

They all equally as tacky.

They ordered the wallpaper the day before they needed it.

Nicely illustrates the project management skills of this administration.

Yes, because wallpaper is serious business. It's just a fluff piece and they get a nice bump in views because of it. I would imagine if the company told them to go "f" themselves they get some cheers from Trump haters but I doubt they would get many orders because of it. But this gets their name out there in a positive way (again they are providing wallpaper to the White House...wallpaper)

Emergency rush order of wall paper for a renovation project that has been planned for months?  I think they are really patching holes that some angry man child put into the wall, when he saw his low approval ratings.

I would do that. It was a unique opportunity to visit the White House. They probably got a private tour from the renovation team.

They have a picture in the article of the wallpaper on the wall, and I have to say, it's not really that bad. It suits the space. Yeah, the entire room is a little bit granny but that's appropriate considering the president's age. I like the rug too, but the furniture and curtains are meh.

Oddly enough, the ugly curtains are almost exactly the same as Bill Clinton's. https://www.clintonfoundation.org/clinton-presidential-center/exhibits/permanent/oval-office

Looking back at the last six presidents' oval offices, Pres Obama had the best style by far which should surprise no one. (https://www.vanityfair.com/news/photos/2010/09/oval-office-redesigns-201009)

They may be the same curtains. The rug is from the Reagan era.

The president does not control the decoration. The Committee for the Preservation of the White House is in control and they present him with options.

Good to know. The rug looks slightly different from the Reagan pic so I wonder the altered the colors slightly while re-dyeing it. Flipping through the pictures, it looks like the couches have been used before as well.

I'd have thought that in an era of neo-Nazis, North Koreans, Afghanistan troop increases, and administrative chaos that biatching about some stupid wallpaper would be too petty even for Trump's most nitpicky critics. Silly me.

They produced it in about four hours.  I don't think it was as impossible as you seem to believe.  Pull the old pattern... Mix some ink... Interrupt the planned run... Not really a big deal.

Great customer service for sure.

foo monkey: People still use wallpaper?

People who hire interior decorators, yes.

Some friends had this elegant monkey wallpaper in their dining room. They had a 2,500 square foot condo in a 1920s high rise, a place like you see in Architectural Digest.

And bonus: You know for certain that Turmp won't be physically present.  He can't possibly be there when actual work is happening. So enjoy the press and Whitehouse visit.

(even better that they now have proof they can turn a rush custom order in mere hours due to the Trumplings shiat-ass planning.)

Bill Clinton's couches should have been in a gazebo somewhere.  And I like Poppa Bush's decor overall....except the bastard didn't use the Resolute Desk.  What a little biatch.

Nancy Regean did a good job, nice unified look.

This is being paid for by the government, not Trump himself. It may take awhile but they'll get the money. Unless you're doing business with the state of Illinois, government agencies do tend to eventually settle their bills.

Being able to say your wallpaper has hung in the Oval Office is a pretty big thing. You can get a sizable bump without needing to tie your product to a particular president. I mean I hate the guy too but would provide just about any product on demand if it was going to be placed in the most powerful office on this earth.

Unless it's advertised/sold as edible, yes; the good stuff is essentially chemically inert. But the decorative stuff even so and only if ingested in massive doses. So yeah, if we're lucky.
