And here I was thinking that the trans ban was meant to distract us from the Arpaio pardon. The pardon is distraction from this.

King Something: And here I was thinking that the trans ban was meant to distract us from the Arpaio pardon. The pardon is distraction from this.

Nope.  These subpoenas are small-hat, and not worth the absolute shiat-storm that's gone down tonight.

What I think actually happened is WaPo or NY Times got their hands on something white-hot, called the White House to confirm/get disputed per protocol, and Trump freaked the f*ck out.

What I think happened is, Putin got sick of his shiat, and finally burned Trump.

The real bombshell news is going to be him getting dragged out of the West Wing in handcuffs - and I do mean dragged.

The next thing that drops kills his presidency.  If he did all of this to deflect (and it won't), whatever is coming will force the hands of a lot of people, and his power will be history.

The early game is over, and we're in to the middle period now.

The impeachment hearings/25th trial is the end game

I hope you're right, but I'm still entertaining the possibility that Trump did what he did tonight because he's an asshole.

I really hope Congress acts quickly to shield Mueller because I have to imagine Trump is jonesing to fire him.

I can only tweet to Trump, "You should fire (blank)" so many times a day to poison his mind against his "allies" and "confidants".  Sooner or later he is going to run out of Bannons and Gorkas and start firing people who know what they are doing and Mueller is going to be #1 on that list.

I would like to think so, but with the impotent leaders of the GOP in congress it aint going to happen until after the midterms (only if the Democrats don steal defeat from the jaws of victory again).

Trump can't fire him. Rosenstein would have to fire him, but more likely we'll have a Saturday Night Massacre 2.0 and then shiat really hits the fan.

Yeah, the real story is the Arpaio pardon.  I'm gonna admit, I liked most of what he did.  But he flaunted a US judge's order to quit doing something, and kept doing it.

Arpaio needs to spend a couple years in Phoenix prison in tents that get to 120 degrees fahrenheit,   Goose for the gander and all that.

Is it happening?  God, I hope it's happening.

And in case anyone is wondering, this night is a lot  what it's like to grow up in poverty, mental illness, addiction,  and abuse.  There is so much trauma and drama that you never get to focus and think and sleep and eat properly and experience anything approaching stability.

The next time you feel the need to disparage the poor, the homeless, and/ or the mentally ill, remember this.

And this is just the farking internet.  The real life version is even more overwhelming and cruel.

How does burning Trump fix that? Putin might not even release any kompromat in order to foment more chaos by keeping Trump in the WH. Releasing anything now is the fastest way to get a Democrat back in the WH, and Putin would hate that.

No it's not that. The Arpaio pardon is a signal to Manafort and Flynn that Trump will pardon them if they remain loyal, and don't flip for Mueller.  It's a unfortunate loss for Mueller, because if he can't flip them, he may have a difficult time nailing down a prosecutable case against Trump.

If they take Trump's pardon, they've admitted guilt and can't plead the 5th. Pardoning them would be a dumb move on Trump's part, so of course he'd do it.

Who said anything about fixing it?

It's never a good idea to double-cross someone who you owe money.  Because that person might just stop giving a shiat about the money.

That.

The minute he pardons Manafort, Mueller hauls him before a grand jury.

And the simple fact of the matter is Manafort has bigger things to worry about than betraying Trump.
