Yeah it's crazy. I can show my tits in Playboy, perform at the Nobel Peace, speak at the Planned Parenthood Gala with Hillary Clinton, shake my ass on 300 stages, give a speech at the United Nations, do 150 shots of tequila, get a #1 album, and march in the streets of DC all in just ONE year!

Feminism is about letting women choose what they want to do, without restriction.
You're attempt to put restrictions on them is the opposite of that, making you nothing but sexist.

Then how come I'm told that the hijab is feminist?  Especially when Islamic theocracies require it (so it's inherently not a choice)?

While some theocracies require it, that does not mean every woman who wears it does so for that reason.  Plenty of women who don't live in those theocracies still choose to wear it.

They can't understand one simple sentence and idea. Let it go, they're being intentionally dumb because thinking is hard. It's easier to think the way their email forwards tell them.

Why would you *CHOSE* to wear a symbol of oppression?  It's not like men in Islam were ever required to wear it.  I mean, I don't see Jews walking about with yellow stars on their clothes.

You wanna wear one, fine, that's your business.  But don't pretend a Medieval rag is a feminist symbol.  Real feminists abhor what it stands for.

Well, the argument I've heard is that wearing it allows a woman greater control of her sexuality, specifically in regards to the sexuality of her form.  Models get paid for showing off their physical form, other women are expected to do it for free, and all the time, and the hijab allows a woman to only display her form when she chooses to.

Additionally, symbols can, and usually do, have more than a single interpretation.

Additional additionally, you are not someone I would place in a category labelled "can decide who is and who is not a real feminist"

Or maybe, and I know this sounds crazy, but what "feminism" really means is that women get to choose what they do with their lives the same way a man does. Isn't restricting a woman's choice a practice of the patriarchy?
