The word "impeach" doesn't appear once in TFA.

Anyone who still supports Trump is not going to be dissuaded by his continued alarming rhetoric and often nonsensical rants.

Just the opposite in fact.

Who has more power to shut Trump up at the moment: Chief of Staff General Kelly, or the guy who's in charge of WiFi at the White House?

I just want to see him inept and ineffective for his entire term without getting anyone killed, and then get trounced in 2020, though none of that will probably happen.

He's surging in Afghanistan.

You know who else surged in Afghanistan?

Those that still support him do so for one of three reasons.
1, He as an (R) behind his name.
2. They like the fact that he pisses off the libs
3. They like his policies and actions.
I believe this last group to be the smallest and closely tied in to #2

As long as they can keep him away for the button, I've go interest in seeing him impeached.  He's an idiot and an embarrassment, but he's also wholly ineffective.  You put Pence in the big chair and the GOP will suddenly get a lit more effective at pushing through "reform."

All of that presumes republicans give a shiat.

They don't.

Pence taking over depends on when they impeach and on what grounds. If they impeach him now over nazi/white supremacist sympathy, then Pence will be, at best, a white bread Jerry Ford. If they hold out until Mueller finishes, you have a much larger problem where its possible Pence, McConnell, Ryan, Priebus, and a not-so-insignificant portion of elected Republicans may have charges brought against them as well as Donnie.

I'm all for Trump continuing this current strategy of pissing everyone off and furthering the divide, but i want Mueller's investigation to be the tipping point that sees Trump, his family, his cabinet and most of the upper echelon of the GOP to be booted for crimes against the nation

I don't know why people keep making this argument.  Yes, Pence is a dominionist douchebag, but 1) Trump is an almost literal loose cannon, whose dementia could conceivably end up embroiling the world in a nuclear war, and 2) even if Pence is worse, Trump's repeating flouting of the law must be punished if we are to pretend that any sort of actual justice exists in this country.

Yeah, I'm tired of Pence being used as a threat to excuse not holding DTS accountable for farking anything.  We'll deal with Pence when we have to.

Twitter really pisses me off.  Trump repeatedly violates their TOS with his bullying and rhetoric, but they know he's a huge moneymaker for them, so they let him get away with that shiat.

He's already committed plenty of impeachable acts, however; he is well liked by a large percentage of Republican voters.

Any MoC with an R next to their name well understands that.

The solution, then, would be to boycott Twitter but I realize that's easier said than done.

Agreed.  You've got too many people who actually support his rule-breaking, others who can't wait to see what kind of stupid crap he spews next, businesses that need the reach of the site for marketing, people actively organizing resistance movements on the site... it's just not going to happen.

Regrettably, being a bloviating idiot is neither grounds for impeachment nor for Fark membership.  Apparently it's not a prohibition against a career in modern journalism either.

Up next: Idiocracy - the new normal?

2017-08-24 08:26:39 AM
Getting Trump talking is not really going to be a problem. Right now he seems to be alternating between Teleprompter Trump, who reads a prepared statement that someone else wrote and sounds almost normal, and Ranting Trump who is free range and clearly insane.

"I went to better schools than they did. I was a better student than they were. I live in a bigger, more beautiful apartment. And I live in the White House, too."

He might as well have added "And my dad could beat up their dad!"
The man is an absolute twat.

I'm not trying to excuse anything.  I'm making the point that if you think somehow things are going to be better without Trump in the White House, you're fooling yourself.

You mean anyone else getting killed. In his first week in office, he ordered that raid in Yemen that resulted in one dead SEAL and many dead civilians, including an eight year old American child.

The man already talks enough, and if you can't tell he's an idiot from listening to his incoherent rambling, then there's no hope for you.
