If you haven't listened to his album "Pure Comedy" you're missing out.

He's angrier than Thom Yorke after a car crash.

Pffft. The name of the band is [The Rockafire Explosion] (https://youtu.be/Fd5c3Qtcr_w ) and Chuck E is, was, and always will be nothing more than a scab!

It is very rare occurrence that music brings me to tears.

This man does.

"He was never political, but he didn't need to be. Neoliberalism had just left the think tanks and had been deployed in service of combatting the rampant stagflation that had bedeviled the economy of the '70s. Chuck embodied the American ideal of the time while presaging the alternative currencies that we'd see 30 years later," he wrote.

A rare sighting of the word "neoliberalism" being used correctly on the internet.

I'm now going to see him in STL.

I didn't realize he was on tour.

No one else I know likes or even knows who he is.

"Sad!" as Trump would say.

I stil have my 45 of Duke (the drummer for Rock-a-Fire) singing "Heartache" and it's a cherished possession!

Something about Father John Misty's voice, it's so clear and perfect, and he's blessed further with brilliant simplicity in his lyrics that strike home so bitterly and sweetly.  Hell of a guy.

I don't want to cheapen that statement with a reference to drugs, but I'm gonna.  His songs remind me of a stage of a mushroom trip where you see things become so simple and elegant, and you weep at how beautiful things are, be it strife in relationships, life struggles, or the human experience itself.  A slew of his songs hit that very point and describe them better than I could hope to do myself.

Hell of a guy.

He microdoses LSD to keep his insanity in check.

He did this album sober. (LSD notwithstanding)

When it comes to music I like, I dive DEEP.

I'm still going through his back catalog. It's loooong.

Glad to see this guy getting some love here. Pure Comedy was amazing and the man is a poet. He reminds me of Dylan. Angry, poignant, and ahead of the times. I'm glad artists like him exist.
