Bannon may have the recordings. He seems like a Nixon kinda guy.

Bannon was fired because Trump thought he was a leaker, not because of his ideology. I almost think Trump will become even further unhinged - that Bannon, for all his desire to destroy Washington and our government, may have been one of the few people in the White House that could temper Trump at his worst, and now he's gone.

Trump is full on paranoid delusional. Bannon attacking him out of spite will only confirm to Trump that he was the leaker... until the next batch of leaks come out; and they will come out, because even if Bannon was responsible for some of the leaks, Trump's problem is far larger than he imagines. I wouldn't be surprised if 50% of the low level staff is a regular conduit for information (and those are people Trump won't even consider because they are beneath him) and several key members of his staff are probably leaking. Every staffer he fires to plug the leak will only push more to start leaking.

They were on the road to take over the Whitehouse through Trump and now that direction has failed.
Plan B.

Sad.

That cartoon is inaccurate.  It portrays Scrawny Don as being much stronger and larger than he really in.  In reality, he's a soft weakling who hasn't willingly exercised in decades.  Nothing but skin, fat, and bones.

Those around Trump have no loyalty to him as they attached themselves to ride their own causes realizing he had no real principles of his own except "put the Trump name everywhere".  Why shouldn't they leak if they think it can help their cause, if it hurts Trump who cares.

Not just that he was a leaker, but specifically that Bannon le it slip that Trump has no military option when it comes to N. Korea. That long rambling, 'I thought it was off the record' interview he gave called out Trump as being a blowhard when it comes to NK, and acknowledges that there's no way we'd attack.
So, Nazi ties, racism, blatant misogyny... all OK. Not willing to nuke NK? That's a firin'!

That's what I read. Apparently Trump was pissed about all the press Bannon was getting and Bannon taking credit for getting Trump elected.

"President Trump is becoming increasingly frustrated with the attention Steve Bannon is receiving for Trump's 2016 presidential campaign win, according to a report.

"That f**king Steve Bannon taking credit for my election," Trump told a confidant, per BuzzFeed News.

Trump's remarks refer to Joshua Green's new book "Devil's Bargain," which details how Bannon helped create the populist movement that catapulted Trump into the White House."

Bannon views Trump as a disposable means to an end. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Question is, who's now more powerful? The Dr. Frankenstein or the monster they unleashed? And which is even which at this point?

The shiat? How is Bannon going to be a "new voice" at Breitbart? Didn't he run the place not even that long ago?

2017-08-20 01:46:54 AM
"new voice" in the sense that hes going to be saying some totally different things now compared to a year ago?

2017-08-20 01:47:48 AM
After Bannon oozed down the White House sewer drain, I was in a gleeful mood. So I had a look at trashcans like r/The_Donald and some of the conservative boobs on Twitter (the usual suspects like Scott Pressler and Prison Planet; you know the ones) to see what was happening.

At first there was the usual wailing and chest beating and gnashing of teeth, but then a new narrative started to develop, presumably in a desperate attempt to make some lemonade out of all this: that Bannon would still be working for the White House in an unofficial media capacity, and the tweet of "#WAR" was actually aimed at liberals. Apparently  Breitbart and the Trump White House were now going to form an unstoppable juggernaut that would crush the evil liberal empire once and for all.

I really had to hand it to them - they'd gone from calling Trump a cuckservative and bemoaning his backbone marching out the front door, to claiming that there was a new sheriff in town who would create a united front that would make the gutters run deep with liberal crybaby tears, in the space of about twelve hours.

Watching them try to deal with the Boston protests was...enlightening. Apparently when they have 100 protesters and their opposition has like forty thousand, that means they're winning.

I'm so very confused.

Object permanence and historical extrapolation tends to be one of those developmental milestones that gets overlooked occasionally.

the recent pictures I've seen of him are...not good.  he'd make a great zombie on 'Walking Dead' and wouldn't need a lot of makeup, ya know?

And what's up with the whole vague threats thing?  nobody is afraid of bannon.  nobody who matters anyways.  there's nothing he can do to scare the GOP.  which isn't to say he couldn't be an annoying little prick before someone squashes him to jelly and sends up to a fed supermax prison.
