If you want to really make a point, don't go with the converted (such as Tvarish Rohrabacher).  If you really want to be taken seriously try convincing Maxine Waters or something.

Julian Assange also asserts that he released the emails untouched, but evidence points to editing after the fact.

You'll forgive me if I don't believe the word of a guy who is ducking out on charges of rape and hiding in an embassy because he's afraid of getting convicted in a civilized nation...

Hey hey hey, you gotta keep reading. There's always a chance the headline continues "...found dead in a puddle of his own vomit."

Thank you Kushner-owned newspaper for keeping us infromed.

It is possible they went through an intermediary.

Hey guys, a year later I have the proof!

I'm sure he'll actually do that right after he helps OJ track down Nicole's real killer.

Yeah, I doubt the FWD:FWD:fwd:FWD chain in those emails passes through "pootypoot[nospam-﹫-backwards]nilmerk*ru" at any point.

That is, if this story isn't a total bullshiat lie, which it probably is.

Looking past the open secret that he's a Russian asset, how exactly would Rohrbacher be able to confirm that?

Doesn't necessarily have to be his vomit.

Once again JUST BECAUSE RUSSIA DIDN'T DIRECTLY HAND IT OVER TO HIM DOESN'T MEAN THE RUSSIANS WEREN'T BEHIND IT!!!

God he keeps repeating that that Russia didn't hand it over directly to him like that means something.

Isn't this completely contradictory to EVERYTHING he's said about his sources?

NO way, Russia would never ever think of that!! The would send some top level official waving Russain flags and say "Here is your information from RUSSIA!!!" that's what would happen.

It means something to Hannity, and that's all that matters.

He's telling the truth. He got the stuff from "Bob" who most assuredly is NOT a Russian. He's not entirely clear where Bob got it, though.

2017-08-17 02:03:02 PM
At this point, even if that were completely true not only literally but also in the spirit of true (No Russians at all involved), I wouldn't believe him.

AFAIK, Sweden dropped the investigation which basically means Assange can't play that whole persecution card anymore.

Well since they called themselves Guccifer 2.0, the only explanation is they are Romanian too.

/Fancy Bear and Cozy Bear? Man, the Muppets need to stop adding these derivative side characters.

How's that Embassy Suite treating you, Julio?

Man the f*ck up.

I was about to say the same. Using Russian logic, this means that Putin personally approved and directed the hacking, and funded Assange, but the actual delivery of the hacked material was done by a Georgian. See, no Russian involvement whatsoever!

2017-08-17 02:05:12 PM
So he is going to out his source.

Let me guess it's going to be that Democratic staffer who was murdered in DC.

Ecuador is getting a bit sick of him too.

Let's face it, this isn't meant to convince anyone; it's just meant to give the people who like to themselves another reason to do so.

Yay! for cellphone keyboards....

Wikileaks started during the Bush administration.  It didn't seem like wingnuts back then.  Why are they wingnuts now?

Nelson Mandela served 27 years in prison in appartied times in South Africa for his "crimes."

You're scared sh*tless about doing time in f*cking Sweden? You're a tough guy, aren't you?

Go with the Quibbly route.  "Chuck" is the name for anonymous not-russian.

\Quimbo - 5 Internet points for knowing THIS obscure thing.

2017-08-17 02:12:14 PM
Wikileaks supposedly has a system where by contributions are anonymized so that when pressed for the source of its information, they can't tell you what they don't know. If Assange knows their not from Russia, then that system doesn't work.

2017-08-17 02:13:54 PM
Sure he can, now that he's had a year or so to make sure that "evidence" existed...

Myria: Wikileaks started during the Bush administration.  It didn't seem like wingnuts back then.  Why are they wingnuts now?

Because he's been hiding so long eating nothing but Ecuadorian cuisine he's lost his ever-farking mind.

2017-08-17 02:16:55 PM
I don't want to hear any news about Julian Assange or Dana Rohrabacher unless it's about how they are being placed in front of a firing squad for Treason (And Rape too, for Assange).

2017-08-17 02:17:41 PM
This is just fodder so the Trumpkins can go:
img.fark.net
Nobody except those that gargle Trump's kool-aid every morning are going to believe it.

2017-08-17 02:19:11 PM
Remember: he did this the second that the Ukrainian malware author who wrote code for Russia turned himself in. They want to make sure to spread "Russia wasn't involved" harder than ever now (sort of like how the Podesta e-mails released an hour after Trump's Access Hollywood tape.)

hmmmm Russian stooge Julian Assange invites Russian stooge Dana Rohrbacher and known liar Charles Johnson to 'prove' that Russia wasn't behind the hack of the DNC?

Sure. sounds legit.

2017-08-17 02:21:00 PM
So Assange... the founder of perhaps the most famous means of disseminating damaging information anonymously... is willing to burn a source just to prove he didn't get the DNC stuff via a Russian hacker?  Knowing that burning a source is literally the very worst he can do as someone who runs a website designed to help these anonymous whistle blowers?

Pardon me if I'm really skeptical.

Just you wait until Assange claims that his source simply told him the original source of the file was a young man he would only identify as Panda (with Kim Dotcom enthusiastically agreeing.)

2017-08-17 02:22:44 PM

Myria: Wikileaks started during the Bush administration.  It didn't seem like wingnuts back then.  Why are they wingnuts now?

Because Assange started working directly for Russia instead of trying to be a repository for the dissemination of information. He has a show on a Russian propaganda network ffs. He is so untrustworthy that the leaker of the Panama Papers would not cooperate with him. All the true believers left Wikileaks because of Assange. The only people left are Russian aligned stooges.
