Boxing is good cardio.  I can't wait to see the new and improved Bannon.

The Kelly punch to bannon face is what I'm hoping for.

It is a good thing.

Bannon should be fighting everyone, everywhere for the rest of his looking increasingly short life.

Seriously, does he have a Harkonen type disease or what?

Bannon seems to think getting into a Trade War with China is a **good** thing
Of course, that explains the single-minded push to bring back manufacturing to the US at all costs
Sadly, he fails to recognize the strength of China's move to build Factory Cities in Africa

2017-08-17 12:55:39 AM
By fighting, does he mean they're all about to kick his ass?

2017-08-17 12:57:10 AM
And losing, I hope.

China and the U.S. are in a incredibly beneficial mutual trade alliance. They make our shiat, we buy shiat from them. That's it. There's no sense in getting in a trade war because that's just gonna hurt ourselves, you rancid toad.

Bannon reminds me of the creepy 27 year old guys who would show up at high school parties.

When this happens, 'White Supremacy' will be an even more pathetic joke than it is now.

Just yesterday, I wondered what Bannon is up to; makes me nervous when I don't know.  And here he is, spouting off to an "opposition party" publication just like the Mooch did.  It's hard to believe he thought the convo was off the record.  I wonder what his real intent was.  Or maybe he was drunk-dialing.

2017-08-17 04:30:21 AM
Who else in this administration is going to think about the poor, underserved white man?

2017-08-17 04:43:35 AM
Of course he's fighting, there's a lot of people looking to punch Nazi's in the face right now,

Trump and his trumpanzees are starting to piss off the money that makes the nation the powerful thing that it is.   This should just about alienate him/them from whomever's left aboard.....

Yeah, curious to that is well.  Calling the far right "clowns"?  He's a major PART of the far right.  What is he going to do next, biatch that Brietbart isn't honest?

Hey, he's the first one admit there's no military solution to North Korea.

Or in other words: "Oh no: people capable of blustering and bullshiatting just as well as my superior, cirrhotic genes!

Can you imagine saying that even semi seriously about any other administration?

I can totally see it happening. It's probably already happened, or something like it.

This is what I imagine Steve does in his free time:

I onky have two objections to Bannon.

1. He's a Nazi propagandist. This ought to be enough, but...

2. He's *just* a Nazi propagandist. He has no experience in government. When he says North Korea is "just a sideshow," that's like me describing what is in a sealed bank vault. No idea what he's talking about.

Have I mentioned that I hate this timeline?

It's good for him because it serves his agenda to economically isolate America which would lead to the cultural isolation that Bannon needs to institute his white supremacist dreams.

It's bad for America but that doesn't seem to keep anyone in the White House from doing anything.

That phrase describes the entire republican platform.

The best thing about Bannon that I can say is that he is probably responsible for about 1/3 of the reason incompetence coming from the White House.  I estimate Donny Two Scoops is about 1/3 as well and the rest of the Trump family filling in the last 1/3.  The incompetence in the White House is pretty much all that is keeping the rest of the GOP from implementing the worst of their policies.  Since the GOP is too spineless to be too aggressive with their policies in an election year, we may only have to survive one more congressional session before the next election.

I hadn't been keeping track of that, but good.  Speaking as a human first and American somewhere on the bottom of my priority list, lots of places in Africa could really use a break like that.

Personally, I think it's a very good thing that he's fighting all the other White House aides daily. It would be better if these fights ended with him getting fired, of course. But as long as he's fighting with all of them, that means he has no allies.

Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: China and the U.S. are in a incredibly beneficial mutual trade alliance. They make our shiat, we buy shiat from them. That's it. There's no sense in getting in a trade war because that's just gonna hurt ourselves, you rancid toad.

Yup. The US makes a lot that China buys, they make a lot that we buy. It's one of the most beneficial trade agreements out there.

Now, that's not saying I 100% agree with it. I believe that paying a little more for a US-made product is worth it. My boots were made in Red Wing, Minnesota. My car, Spring Hill, Tennessee. The next car, likely Flat Rock, MI. The knife in my pocket, Bradford, Pennsylvania. My shirt and slacks, Michigan. I want to see that "1" on a car VIN that signifies made in the USA.

I want to see American manufacturing brought back home. We need the work.

That sounds so cyberpunk when you put it like that, chummer.

See, after reading these articles on his interview, I don't know that that is true. He outright called the ethno-nationalists (by which he meant nazis and white supremacists), trash, and losers. You don't do that if you support them. Rather, he seems to be a myopic type of nationalist. He thinks that our trade deficit with China and the imbalance with them in trade is a bad thing that will get worst, because it will spell the end of American hegemony and the rise of the Chinese century. He's actually pretty much right about that. What he is wrong about, is that he thinks he can stop it by pitting us in a trade war against China. That will likely only accelerate our decline, while also tanking the world economy, and probably moving us all toward a major great power confrontation.

The reality is China will likely becoming the engine of the world economy at some point in their future, they are bigger than we are, and their land is far richer. But that doesn't mean that we lose. In the type of economic system that we helped to establish for this world, that just means we all benefit from trade, even if not equally. What we must strive for is to make China a part of that system, and entrench it so that when it becomes the economic hegemon, it will be governed by the rule set that we established when we were up top. Sure, they will try to amend and revise, but if the system is strong, it shouldn't matter who is on top. We got a preview of how much China has at stake in the system with this administration. The moment Trump began withdrawing the US from free trade agreements, and began to talk about protectionism, China was very quick to denounce him and announce its unwavering support for free trade. The system has made them rich, and they have a huge stake in maintaining it. That is what we wanted, and what we need to maintain with all the rulesets that govern that trade and global economic relations.

Derp Du Jour: underserved white man

I read that as "undeserved."  The Rest of Us really didn't deserve them...
