Has anyone seen the Steve McQueen in LeMans graphic novel? The few pics I've seen online look great, but at $35 (for Vol 1!) it's a bit spendy.

I see no Minsc there - Boo is very disappointed in you.

/See his little whiskers quiver with disappointment.

Just for you, buddy   Frost Giant's Fury #4

Paste always disrespects Minsc and Boo by passing them over for some really predictable stuff.

So Metal is...a thing.  Superman is now possessed by parallax (injustice crossover?), GL needs to really finish this arc already, and Joker gives the best answer on why he should kill Batman instead of the Riddler.

First issue of the third Mage series came out. It's...very, very different from the first two so far. I'm intrigued.

And a new Astro City, which is pretty much always the first thing I read.

Minsc will be free! These bonds will not hold my wrath! Butts will be liberally kicked in good measure!

I love when a new Astro City HC comes out. Also, I'm waiting for the final  Mage HC for the bookshelf to line up with the first two.

Ayway, a question..

This week, a Six Pack and Dogwelder trade came out.

DC Entertainment books published after mid-2011 disgust me and I don't want to soil my collection by accidentally letting any NuAfterbirth crap in.

However, there are these two Section 8 trades now.

Is it the usual Ennis taking the piss out of superheroes, or do these minis have something to do with the pile of crap that became of DC Comics? I know that characters that look like DC Superheroes appear in some of the issues, but they're just there for comedy, right? No tie-ins, no discussing continuity, just fodder for Ennis to mock?

Otherwise, I can always skip 'em.

I have not read them, but other than the chars probably being their new52 incarnations I don't believe they are in continuity or anything else.

A co-worker of mine said that the Metal things look a lot like Celestials from the Marvel comics. Any word if this will be the kickoff of a cross-company event?
