2 things. J. Bourne is our Action reporter.

And no dude, no matter how big, or drunk, is immune to having his big toe broken.
Baton placement, people.
People are less ambulatory with fractured phalanges. I learned this in school.

They're like a remote control for people except half the time you can't tell if one of the batteries got knocked out or if you're pointing it at the TV wrong.

Oh shiat, black cop beating and tazing a white guy for no good farking reason (as opposed to the usual reverse). They're going to make an example out of him and call it a day on police brutality.

Rather disgusting. The guy was not trying to get away, was not being violent, was not reacting angrily to being attacked and they just increased their level of attack until he did what they said. I feel sure that if he just wanted to remain standing and talking they would have killed him before accepting that.

When a guy pulls your tazer barbs out and asks ya to stop doing that you may be wise to dust off your negotiating skills and ask him nicely to please accompany you on a nice ride cause shooting him might make mongo mad...

/or maybe give him a candygram

The gun was next if the other officer's tazer didn't work.  I love how the attention on cops has shown the amount of shiatty cops that there are.  Couldn't even get a drunk guy to go to the station without beating on him like a pinata and firing 3 tazers at him.

//obligatory if the guy was black he would have been shot

They should have placed him under arrest instead of just ordering him to lie down. Then they can legitimately warn him that resisting the arrest which he is under will lead to further charges which may lead to increasingly large amounts of jail time. He should have just asked repeatedly "Am I under arrest?" which would lead to a big payout if he was not.

He does not want jail, he wants to skip a bar tab.

Or he was too drunk to know that he didn't pay.  It was a $200 bar tab.

Dude... it's Jagsuckvile Beach... "Come along quietly or there'll be... trouble" is the official motto. BANG! "Halt or I'll shoot!" is the usual MO for all of the JSO (Jaxsuckvile's Stormtrooper Office). Driving while poor in Ponte Vedra/Neptune/Jax Beach? That's a harrasin'. Got a parrot and out for a walk? That's a harrasin'! Black? Fark you, that's a violent assault without question.

Jacksonvile still has a backlog of cold case murders from the 50s and 60s that has been sat upon by the Shire Reeve's department because the police who committed the murders are still alive.

There is no negotiating with any North Florida "law enforcement", only displays of power. Be white. Be rich. Be a member of the City Council and/or Worst Baptist Downtown and you get a free pass; all others are damned to the whims of the uniform. Mentally ill and unarmed? BANG. No negotiations, just death. Just defended yourself from armed intruders/violent assault? Here, let us toss your broken body in the back of the cop car while we take statements from the victimizers. fark Jagsuckvile.

absurd, again.  hes simply standing there talking to them.  hes not even trying to flee after the first taser shot.  He's not even fighting back when they're hitting him in the leg with a baton.

escalate, escalate, escalate.  that's all any cop knows how to do.
it takes 3 incompetent idiot cops here to severely injure a man
it should have taken 1 with some communication skills to get him to go pay his bar tab

they should all be fired.  then they should all be charged with assault.  because that guy wasn't doing a damn thing to justify ANY part of that.

Jacksonville cops treat most everyone bad that have no political or monetary power. If dude was black he would have been shot.

More police need No. 28 : If the price of collateral damage is high enough, you might be able to get paid to bring ammunition home with you

Instead they have been given a gun with free ammo (taser)

What should happen is for the cost of collateral damage to increase.

Either way we need to rename Jacksonville.  because whichever Jackson it was named after, he had to be a racist.

Except maybe Reggie or Bo.

Well, they actually did arrest him, it was in TFA/video, he was 'under arrest' and he refused to comply with being handcuffed, hence the escalation. That guy is a farking Bull Moose and to be able to shrug off tasers and cops like ants they sort of had to do something. This guy was not going to cooperate with anyone on anything, he was way too drunk to even understand what he did do, which was walk out on a $200 dollar bar tab and punching a Bouncer. Were the police just supposed to let this guy stagger off and not bother him just because he wasn't throwing punches?

You're making a lot of assumptions about this man and accepting a lot of facts on the bar's say so.  Did you see the bar bill? Did you see him punch the bouncer? As far as anyone knows he was just a guy who drank at a bar and then left.  Did the officers investigate these allegations before attacking and arresting this man? Tasers are to be used as a less-lethal alternative to a firearm not as a compliance tool.  Do you see anything in that video that would justify the use of a firearm?  Then the taser is not justified.  Learn to question authority and keep an open mind because some day it might be your head under the boot.

I'm making 'a lot' assumptions? Did YOU see the opposite? Were you there? Show me your facts on this matter or you are simply making assumptions then.

I made zero assumptions about him having been told he was under arrest and then refusing to be handcuffed, or cooperating at all with any instructions he was given, that was in TFA. What exactly did I assume?
