Not surprising in that he takes all of his talking points from Fox News.  At the gym tonight the machine I was on had a TV tuned to Fox News in front of it, they were covering the white supremacist terrorist attack but instead of calling it what it was their chyron read 'one dead in Charlottesville car crash'.

It wasn't a farking car crash, it was a premeditated terrorist attack, farking cowards.

Fox needs to take half the blame for the situation that the country finds itself in.

It is NOT a news channel. It is an entertainment medium at best. [Entertainment is probably not the best word to use, but I'll come back and edit it later.]

It's no great surprise that Donald Trump is unfit to serve as a head of government.  That shiat is hard, especially as regards the most powerful nation on the planet.  But it's somewhat remarkable that he's equally unfit as a head of state.  That's the Queen of England shiat--a cakewalk by comparison.  That part should be doable by any asshole with a three-digit IQ and a functioning sense of empathy.

Fox News, in any other country, would be rightly considered a propaganda machine and part of a concerted disinformation campaign designed to manipulate, and sow distrust and fear.

ugh, that is farker up.  But at some point, even on Trump's radar, he would have to wonder why one person dying in a car crash would be worth mentioning on a national "news" outlet.

Who am I kidding, I need another beer.

I hate to say it, but I almost wish those farkers would pull off something impressive, just so all of these farking apologists would have to suck on all the shiat that they have been flinging around.  I was a kid when OKC bombing went down, but someone, somewhere has that guy's poster/printout on his wall, with dreams of his own.  And the farking president basically "At least you're not brown, you are a patriot" from yesterday's presser.

45* really thought he could hide from this problem, but it's only going to get worse, and this is a good quarter of his base at minimum.   There is no easy way out for him here.   He is responsible for it, he formented it, he's finally wound up between a rock and a hard place of his own making.

In his head 9 months ago he was planning to be running TrumpTV and exploiting all this shiat while blaming Clinton, but here we are.

This is wrong. He is the U.S. president, he is acting exactly as predicted by a.) his followers, and b.) liberals.

The clueless farktards who thought he might change were fairly conventional political insiders, top on that list are the Republican party loyalist Electors in the College. "Oh he'll come around maybe slower than the others but he will."

Right, this is what happens when citizens let the two parties sabotage the non-democratic safety valve against *EXACTLY WHAT'S HAPPENING*. The parties stuffed the Electoral College with party loyalists, the *worst* possible people on the whole planet for making rational and ethical decisions. We would have been better off with randomly dug up corpses from the local grave yard as Electors!

Not quite.  Unless the dead could be coaxed to vote by necromancy or Chicago-style deep dish politics, we'd be stuck at 0-0 and it would go to the House.  The very Republican House.

Then again, with everyone tied there would be no top three.  The House could vote for whomever the hell they wanted.  Shiat, you might be right after all.

The mutiny on the Bounty left Captain Bligh and eighteen of his crew in a small boat. In the middle of the ocean.

And Bligh led what was left of his crew to land. Across 4,000 miles of ocean. One man was killed on Tofua. The rest made it to present-day Jakarta (why did Batavia get the works?), where malaria proved deadlier than the ocean had been.

every trumper I know is busy right now trying desperately to blame the victim in this murder.  its not going well for them.

but still they double down, scream 'first amendment' and pretend they aren't the bad guys.  Thing is, we're past the point where we can talk this thru anymore.   the trumper nazis summoned the storm with blood and fire.  that hate won't go easily back into the bottle now that its out again.  expect more blood, more violence.  the trumpers will keep murdering people, or maybe a librul fights back and kills a trumper.  the details don't matter, violence will see violence and the cycle will spin on, as it does.

trump could stop it, of course.  not easily but he could do it.  it would cost him support, but he could stop this from going further.

probably not.  Trump isn't exactly down with the whole 'moral character' thing.  what's disturbing to see is trumpers doubling down defending the murder of a counter protester.  some of them seem almost giddy.

To Trumpers, liberals are literally an enemy to be destroyed. This is what talk radio has been filling their heads with for at least a decade.
