Yeah, what farking heroes.  We told them for years that this is where things were headed, but they went ahead and sold their souls for tax cuts.  But I'm sure this is the round of furious brow furrowing that will finally make a difference.

white supremacist thugs are trump's core voter base tho, so its not like he can actually yell at them for doing what he's been pushing them to do since election night.

the GOP is starting to really 'get it' tho, they're finally starting to understand the kind of person they put into the white house and I don't think they like it very much.

Did D2S sign any paperwork to become a Republican? If he did they could burn that on the floor of the Senate at least. Expel him from the party?

well - the ACA repeal failed, and trump hasn't moved a damn thing on the republican legislative agenda.  Trump couldn't even condemn a domestic terror attack on US soil, which tells you something about him right there.  the republicans aren't going to  take the blame for trump's weak answer to this terror attack, and I think they're done covering for the incompetence and white house chaos.  they just need an opportunity to rid themselves of trump.

as for the trumpers...well, after today I don't think anyone is going to be afraid of them anymore.  in fact, I think everyone is going to be more pissed off at them than anything else.

Does the GOP get it or care, though? Remember, this is the party of the Southern Strategy. The party that has made racism a wink-wink, nod-nod part of their platform for decades. A party composed almost entirely of White "Christians".

Republicans are going to have to do a lot more to purge racism and anti-Semitism from the party before I'm convinced that the outrage stems not from disgust of bigotry, but from disgust that the Alt-Right is airing the GOP's dirty laundry in public.

Yup. Trump came to power on a coalition of racists, dominionists, and trolls. If (hopefully when) he condemns them specifically that coalition will start to disintegrate. And fear of that coalition is really the only thing that's keeping the non-trumpanzee Republicans from openly opposing him.

If people listened to the whole speech, he was talking about unity and loving eachother.  It was a nice speech.

This is the absolute easiest thing in society to condemn. Actual nazis, invading a town, wearing swastikas, doing the salutes, carrying signs that that Jews are Satan, killing people. This wasn't just racists with the rebel flag, as much as I hate those guys. ACTUAL NAZIS, THE ONES WE FOUGHT IN THE WORST WAR THIS PLANET HAS EVER SEEN. The bad guys that you can put in any story and the beholder knows that whoever is fighting them is the hero.

Even if you're an asshole, this is your free pass to prove to everyone you aren't a complete asshole. Just by pointing out that Nazis are bad. Even if all you care about is political capital, you can have it.

And Trump won't do it. The guy will condemn Meryl Streep and The Pope (for saying that people should be nice), but he will not condemn the Nazis.

All those Americans who died on the Western Front...sorry, but Trump likes soldiers who didn't die fighting Nazis.

Of course not.  But expect them to quadruple down now that they finally understand how deeply they've painted themselves into a corner.

I didn't see many Antifa at that protest.  I saw a lot of ordinary Americans that resolved to tackle an issue our leadership should have tended to when it began.

Look at the crowd before the car hits.  Those are ordinary Americans, not Antifa, not Black Lives Matter.

Do not allow Trump, the GOP, or the MSM to say any different.

"You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic -- you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people -- now 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks -- they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America."

The latter isn't even remotely true. We don't want him to fix anything. We want him to shut the fark up and govern instead of acting like a complete knob.

He can't stop tweeting, he can't stop preening in the mirror and literally telling everyone how great he is. He has a senate and congress that are growing more and more against him and his administration. Literally NOTHING is getting done in government - and we'll be paying his protection and salary for the rest of his life for doing so. He's an agitator, screaming at other narcissistic leaders like he's in a dick measuring contest, failing to point out what today was, and failing to lead. The man is a literal Twitter troll personified into a dumpy human being who has respect for no one or idea but himself and his own.

fark him and fark all his supporters.

No, the two parties have zero control over who uses their name. The only thing they control is who has access to party resources for campaigns.
