River banks, how the hell do they work?

Poor kids.
Is it wrong to say I wish they stopped having so many babies in India? Heck,  everywhere for that matter.

I find their lack of infrastructure disturbing.

I was watching one of those "lone Alaskan" shows on Discovery and this dude had a big river he had to cross every day so he built a rudimentary bridge. It took about a day.

That would take effort.
Plus, someone would just steal it.
Probably to shore up defenses against the Monkey Man, or whoever is stealing penises this month.

I died in a river once. I got better

There was a great documentary on Netflix , "on the way to school" or something like that, with kids from India, Argentina, and Kenya going to school. Two tiny kids set off like they were going to Mordor to drop off a ring for their daily trip.

Are you trying to get swept down a raging river? Because this is how you get swept down a raging river.

That's a pretty closed shot.  Is there a bridge just up the hill a bit to allow safe passage and they, like most kids not understanding consequences, just don't want to trek a bit longer to cross safely?

It could be exactly as it is but I don't have enough information to believe their story is anything other than "watch these kids cross this water" which could be a one-time thing, a dare thing, could be anything.

The thing is, in nuclear-armed, Mars prob sending India, this just doesn't matter because these kids are not 1 percenters. They are a part of the 99% that just doesn't matter.

The wealthy people in this country could fix this problem with the snap of their fingers, but why should they for a bunch of dirty 99 percenters?

guess no one ever heard of building bridges
you can find the plans online
