Well, that just hurts to watch.

I've been a goalie in a hockey game like that.

I just tried to focus on the postgame burrito. Got me through a lot.

What was the point of that strategy?

Good pressing and a bumpy field. I've seen stranger things.

ArkAngel: What was the point of that strategy?

Keeper has a better idea of where played are and usually is uncontested to clear the ball down the pitch.  The defenders passing to each other and then the keeper gives the midfield time to set up passing lanes to the forwards after the clearance by the keeper.  In this case, there was a communication breakdown.

TLDR; We accidentally the whole thing.

I'm generally against the concept of the 'own goal'. Even if it did bounce off a defenders ass, the offensive pressure was still there to create the situation and they should get credit for it.

This, however...

Years ago my son picked up a goal because he was standing outside the penalty area trying to catch his breath looking toward the sideline and the keeper does a goal kick that hits him and then somehow bounces into the goal.  Everyone was telling him what a great play it was and he was going "but I was just standing there".

I'm not saying that was deliberate but i would be checking the spot betting markets if i was the Estonian Football League.

Of course the Jets would wonder why the Pats were trying to score using a soccer ball, but then just think they were cheating again.

Midpoint has it set up but no one knows the password. Search FFPL in mini leagues and it's there. Since our league starts in week two, I expect midpoint will tell us the password either today or this weekend.

Keeper was positioning himself closer to the defender so as to be better able to receive a back pass but the defender passed without looking to where he thought the keeper would be.

In a practice yesterday my son (5) was trying to clear the ball from in front of his goal and did a sort of slide tackle and knocked the ball into his 'net' ( 2 cones).

His whole team cheered and nobody else really picked up on it, so from everybody's perspective they won the scrimmage 1-0.

I helped coach a U-5 game last year. Never again. It's just mind blowing chaos.

He posted it yesterday in the Arsenal/LCFC match thread. Here's his post. The mini-league number is erj70
