Still curious if the Storm Trumpers are tired of WINNING yet.

This is a thoroughly depressing article... he honestly is being treated like a child. Although, to be fair, limiting the alt-right news sources he sees is a pretty good idea.

2017-08-09 07:49:17 AM
I wish Kelly luck.  Getting the man-child-in-chief to control himself isn't likely to happen, but maybe controlling his sources of conspiracy news sources will help even things out a bit.

2017-08-09 08:05:24 AM
Kelly wanted to know in advance what the President planned to post

That's completely unreasonable and totally unfair!  Trump himself doesn't know what he's going to post until Steve Doocey tells him.

I'm not so sure.  To me this just reads like a competent Chief of Staff doing his job.  The President isn't supposed to be a person you can just pop in to chat with.

If his job included supervising a 10 year old, sure.

You know it really shouldn't be all that hard for a grizzled, career military man to grab a cell phone out of 71 year old's tiny baby-like hands and nail it to the floor.

Meanwhile, the country is outraged that a military general could not control Trumpy's Twitter rants.

Well, not so much outraged as amused, really. It should be painfully obvious by now that this fish stinks from the head down.

Dumpy's not going to take well to being given orders.
Have the reich-wingers started screaming "military coup!" yet?

You'll know when the coup happens.  Trump's twitter feed will go silent first, and then it will stop posting retarded thoughts.

Marcus Aurelius: Trump's twitter feed will go silent first, and then it will stop posting retarded thoughts.

Trump's twitter feed has already been gone silent several times, and has been taken over on occasion by someone else. You can tell when it's not him posting to it, because the postings form actual sentences.

DAMN you Cubs for ruining all of those punchlines.

In a normal administration, the most important resource a president has is time. The primary job of the CoS is budgeting that resource by determining who has access to the President at any given moment of the day. So, it's not really an alt-right news thing as much as it is doing what the job traditionally calls for.

I'm waiting for Kelly's "spending more time with family" mail. Because Trump HATES control unless he's the one implementing it by fiat.

And he probably will take us all with him by launching nukes and setting off MAD and alliances. Trump will be the one who ends humanity rather than face consequences for his behavior.

I'm imagining a 10 year old Trump at military school sneaking behind everyone's back to get away with whatever. Anything.

Then I realize this is not the past, but the present. And he is in the White House.

Except reining in his twitter feed isn't preventing people from just popping in to chat with the President. It's preventing the President from stripping off his clothes and running screaming through the streets of DC.

2017-08-09 10:31:20 AM
If Kelly can't rein in the Tweeting, then his attempt to bring order to this administration will end in failure.  I mean, this morning, just as Tillerson was in Guam trying to dial back the tension in the North Korea crisis, D2S was Tweeting about how great our nukes are.  So Tillerson's work was flushed down the crapper by a 71-year old manchild who probably was on the crapper when he sent those tweets.

I hope Trump never stops tweeting, doing these "I'm so great" rallies, and such.  If the administration suddenly starts to act competently, we (the American people) need to have those constant reminders of what a nut he is.

If he end up under shadow control that is actually sane, we might mistakenly believe that Trump has changed.

He's not being treated like a child. People expect children to grow up, to mature, to become adults. Nobody expects (or should expect) the president to grow up at this point. As a result, he's being treated as less than a child.

It's being reported by all the other news sites now. It was a predawn raid conducted the day after Manafort testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Apparently they were concerned he was going to start destroying documents and decided to stop him from doing so.

Apparently it happened a few weeks ago and is just breaking now.  Also, something interesting that someone on my Twitter feed pointed out: warrants require probable cause.

Well let's appreciate the precedent of a soft coup on the presidency because congress can't effectively exercise it's oversight.

This is all bad.

We won't.

Why do I get the feeling Trump is going to give up his phone and then have a story made up to explain how he suddenly broke his own hand?  Because in the eyes of a military man, I somehow doubt a fat geriatric rich boy is going to pose much of a threat to a general, president or no.

I just hope it's incredibly painful and knocks the Big Bronze biatch into a depressive spiral.

Part of that depends on how long it will take for the rats to abandon ship. This raid might help some of them make up their minds. Nothing focuses the attention like a hanging.

We're looking at eight years of a Democratic Presidency and Congress.  It really depends on how much Trump has farked the Republicans over but I'm thinking we're looking at another Dubya lost decade that gets longer if any Republicans have control over a branch of government.
