Some can be "made" with various flower seeds soaked in pure wood grain alcohol for a few days followed by the use of a centrifuge, blacklight, and suction hoses, soak the same seeds a second time, centrifuge process a 2nd time, mix what was suctioned out both times....all natural LSD....

I have tried them all, and it's a damn shame what the government did to LSD.  LSD was a miracle drug before it became a 10 year prison sentence.

I used to get the Free Press here.

The first time I took acid was at work. Making vertical blinds in a factory and running a chop-saw. The hessians there talked me into it. It was delightful. We tripped the day away with our boss knowing something was up but unable to determine what it was. We just kept laughing and laughing. I think the boss was pissed as if missing some inside joke. We tripped there quite a bit that summer. It would be nice to micro-dose now on some good, clean LSD or shrooms. A shame the shriveled old folks and brainwashed younger adults are too uptight to allow adults to freely trip and enlighten themselves.

If he knew what he was doing he would 1) drop acid 2) come to the office 3) get to work.  IIRC, it takes a while for the acid to kick in

"I've read four of your rags on drugs, but the one on H [heroin], I appreciate the most," a woman named Janis wrote Zybar in early 1969. "I've been wanting to try it, but I know better now. The psychedelic world is much better. . . . Please write about the so-called trash highs-glue, freon, amyl nitrate, instant ice, etc."

My, how things have changed...Kids had to walk uphill both ways home from school before writing some sketchy guy in a magazine about huffing freon.

Ba. Dum. Tish.

Seriously though, I know a guy who died from huffing freon when he was a teenager.  The EMTs managed to get him rebooted, but there was permanent damage.

shiat, the same dude was riding his motorcycle and had a head on collision with a car.  No helmet.  Responders put a sheet over him because they thought he was dead.

Moherfarker started breathing again. He's probably a catfish.

What's stopping you? Shrooms and acid have been illegal this whole time, and they've been available this whole time. I'm the squarest motherfarker you ever met and even I know a guy who knows a guy.

Now if you're saying your tastes have changed and you now prefer the mellower (but still potent) high of shaking your fist at people who are in the wrong generational cohort, then hey, I'm right there with you. Pass the bottle.

Why are we hero white knighting a guy who's used his body as a trashcan his whole life?  Because he didn't die doing it?

I mean, to each their own, but if reading his stuff makes people think, man, I really gotta try that one, is that hero?  I've known people who's stated goal was to get high in every way possible.  As well as people who would try *anything* that gets reported to cause a high, including all the dangerous urban legends.  Most of them are dead now, and not taken by old age.  My mom being one of them.

I need a TL;DR summary.  I didn't read the whole thing because I just wasn't getting it.

Again, to each their own, and I suppose, like sex, abstinance-only teaching is useless.

Enlighten me please.

Shrooms are still shrooms, but what is claimed to be acid these days is not LSD.

:)  I guess Johnny Depp lived in HST's basement for a year to prepare for his Fear and Loathing role.  I wonder if HST ever forgot he was down there when he was peaking on acid at 3 am or any other drug fueled run ins.
