Fake news. (Or at least headline.)

Obama, by comparison, would release to the press who he was playing with and when. By the Washington Post's count on Thursday, by the end of this vacation, Trump will have taken 53 days at leisure.

In their first years, Jimmy Carter took only 19 vacation days, Ronald Reagan took 42 days of vacation, George H.W. Bush took 40, Bill Clinton took 21 days, George W. Bush took 69, and Obama ended his first year with 26 vacation days, according to The Annenberg Public Policy Center's Fact Check.

We turned to Mark Knoller, White House correspondent at CBS News, the zen master of data on all things presidential such as vacations, trips, news conferences and even teleprompter use.
He told us via email that Obama has been on 28 vacations (including long weekends) spanning all or part of 217 days. The president has just over four months left in his term.

Trump's been in office for 197 days.  Now, I realize it feels longer and Obama had a magical time machine and all that, but still, Trump couldn't have exceeded Obama's total vacation time even if you argue he was on vacation (or at least mental vacation) since being sworn in.

Obama took office in the middle of the biggest economic crisis since the Great Depression. Large numbers of people were still hurting as he left office eight years later. He absolutely had no right to take any vacations whatsoever until everyone was helped.

PRESIDENT Trump, on the other hand, helped everyone within the first week. That is why he can take all the vacations he wants.

"Don't take vacations. What's the point? If you're not enjoying your work, you're in the wrong job," tweeted Trump in 2012.

It's at least poetically ironical when we can point to people on both sides of the political aisle as being unethical. Just make sure no one mentions voting for republicans as a lesser of 2 evils choice.

subby should feel bad anyway as I was 2 seconds away from clicking the link. I would be nice if the last 7 months was a dream and Trump actually took 8 years worth of vacation in that time frame. But what an alternate reality thay would be, if it was this bad and he wasn't even working yet. How much worse it would be.

So by your own count, Trump has taken 53 days out of 197, and thus worked 144 days, or 73% of the time
In his first year, Obama took 26 days out of 365, and thus worked 339 days or 92% of the time.

I'm not clear how that's "fake news". Also, I knew what they meant, what the hell is your problem?

Get off your high horse. When I say something really stupid on Fark or elsewhere, it only reflects on me. Not on whoever I've directed the comment towards. If another Farker's said something to you, that's just an anonymous dork saying shiat, it doesn't necessarily make it true, or meaningful. You're not a martyr.

But thanks for the data, pointing it out was a valuable service.
