"There were no Russians in our campaign. There never were," Trump said, misstating the nature of the allegations against him. The entire premise of the investigation, he insisted, is a "total fabrication."

It's just as likely that he's not deliberately lying, and really thinks that he's accused of hiring Russians.

Yeah, it's just hard to know whether he's obsfucating or dense (I know, why not both). NPR said this morning that he stayed on script, meaning someone actually bothered to write that line into his remarks.

This is just so the opposite of Hillary telling Trey Gowdy, "Come at me, bro".

Because this is exactly how an innocent president behaves.

I think he just doesn't understand what's going on. I think.

I mean, they didn't believe he'd even make it to 270 and he did. He made it to 306. Why aren't they talking about that?

Ha. Ha. Heh hee hee.
You know what really farking infuriates me the most?
The fact that this coont had to make it all the way to THE GODDAMNED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES before someone took a good look at his finances.
So we might end up with one punished out of how many crooked rich assholes in this country? All because he became the farking president.
Something tells me there are many more that are breaking the rules with a 'what are you going to do about it?' attitude.
We might end up punishing ONE of them. This country is farked either way.

Nobody likes Ryan at this point. My guess is that Pence would cough up some GOPtard who isn't as intimately connected to this trainwreck, especially someone who wasn't caught on tape telling his caucus to keep Trump's financial connections to Russia a "family secret".

yeah

Him saying "milk people" in the released phone-call transcript, instead of dairy farmer.

Whatever is amiss with Trump, it isn't getting better.

Him asking that rally crowd if there were any Russians there, he's just not right. I've given up trying to figure it out and just know he's, still, not qualified for this office. Charges aside? He's not coherent enough to run the country.

"The worry is what the president does now," the official said. "Whether he does something that's gonna make everything else even more difficult."

Trump has never shown a proclivity to make off-the-wall comments that undermine his lawyers strategy or make life difficult for anyone in his administration....why would they even bother worrying about this?

Firing Mueller at this point change Obstruction of justice from 99.99% to 100%.  I don't believe there is any reasonable person alive that thinks this is a good idea.  Congress did passed a bill to make this even more difficult to do as well.

Trump is truly missing it.

There's an entire jury out there he could intimidate. A big jury. A grand target. It would be big, and go down in the history books. What other president has ever been convicted of Grand Jury tampering? Or even what other dictator, despot, czar, king or potentate?

2017-08-04 10:29:46 AM
FTA: In response to the news Mueller was seating a grand jury in DC, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders sent out a statement underscoring President Trump's position, and the official White House line, that "former FBI director Jim Comey said three times the president is not under investigation and we have no reason to believe that has changed."

"The President was told years ago that it was 2014 and he has no reason to believe that has changed."

Ken Starr loved the limelight, he loved the game and the fame. He dragged out the Clinton investigation as long as he could. Mueller probably just wants to do his gig.

Have you considered that President Trump is employing Briar Patching? He may be intentionally drawing attention to areas where he knows that any investigation will entirely exonerate him as a means to fully discredit and humiliate the liberals who have been demanding impeachment and screaming "RUSSIA!".

Surely such a successful businessman and master negotiator is intelligent enough to think of this.
