What really sucks is that we're on the hook for secret service protection for 45* until he dies.  So we'll be paying him rent at whatever price he wants.

He hasn't been going back to Fifth Avenue, he's been going to his clubs so the Service has to pay for his time there.

So just tell him it's either/or.

The dispute is not just about the money. I don't know anything about the rest of the dispute other than the fact that it exists, but I'd wager that a non-disparagement clause is involved and that Trump expects the Secret Service to be loyal to him personally rather than to the United States.

I'm hoping the cost of protecting him and his evil brood are a lot lower when they're confined to prison.

Well, considering how much 45 loves the Colonel's secret spices, the secret service might not have to protect him for long.....

I kinda like the optics of Trump's detail working out of a trailer.  And mind you, not even a double-wide.  It just really fits the image, having a trailer parked outside Trump tower.

They're not obligated to protect Two Scoops' adult kids anyway. and the obligation to protect Expert "Really the Personal Trainer's Kid" Trump runs out when he turns 16.

Have you seen any recent photos of Trump, do you really think that he's going to live for another ten years? Especially if he gets prosecuted?

I love it. Farking with the people who protect your slovenly bloated body...

This detail has to be hell for the SS, I feel bad for them. Then there is the Trumpenscalper, who has no issue sticking the cost to the citizens (and into his pockets). Didn't the SS ask for $60m extra for this year alone? Think how many years of medical coverage, meals on wheels, shuttle services, etc that would provide when spread out? Basically, he doesn't give a FARK about the average citizen, much less the needy. Never forget that.

If I was a tinfoil-hat aficionado I might think that every three letter agency has devastating info on Trump. Any one of them could destroy him and he knows it. The real battle is which one gets to tell him what to do. They'll probably settle on some sort of time-share agreement.

I wonder if it has to do with the other Trump Tower residents being grumpy about the added security on the building?  Maybe they are losing tenants, and the Trump's think there is more profit in kicking the Secret Service out and salvaging rent from all the other units.

Seems to me that given everything that has been going on these last few months, that the valuation of the Trump name has got to be dropping like a stone.

This is an interesting angle I had not thought of. For someone as thin-skinned as he is shady, Cheeto does not go anywhere without an NDA. I'd bet the SS blanched at signing any such.

The U.S. government is also leasing space in Trump Tower for a military office that provides support for the White House and handles the nuclear "football" - a mobile hub that the president would use to launch a nuclear strike.

Well, that's not scary at all.
