Yep.  It's ALLLLLL the leakers' fault for sharing information about what Russia has done and not, you know, the ones who have been taking advantage of Russian support, pushing to give more to Russia, or lying through their teeth about what has been happening.

So Obama did nothing during the Russia hacking, except when he was doing too much.

Yeah, I have to stick to the view that the GOP is bonkers over this whole thing.

"Discovered"? Wasn't that also a leak from somebody on the NSC who has since been fired?

You know how the Trump voters don't care if Trump worked with the Russians, because keeping Horrible Hillary out of the White House was so crucial?
Well, I don't care if leakers is what it takes to get him out of it.
Back at ya, Cletus.

Perhaps the White House leakers see something nefarious happening and feel it's their civic duty to report on it. Not everyone wants to see our country turned over to corporate interests and Russia. Notice how previous administrations didn't leak like a sieve, even the Bush administration......an administration that started a war based on faulty intelligence.

Fox News this past week or so has become a completely separate reality of non-stop Democratic slights and scary foreigners.

I don't know about faulty, but it was definitely intentionally skewed to make the case for invasion, and a majority of Congress farking bought into the bullshiat.

rbuzby: Republicans don't do policy other than tax cuts, so they just make up BS nonstop.  Death panels Benghazi unmasking witch hunt emails whatever.

Yep. It's why they're even more farked up now that they have total control of the government. They have no idea how to govern, just how to obstruct, whine about Democrats, and try to slip tax cuts into unrelated shiat. They try to make their own bills, they're either too awful for the few Republicans who still have some iota of political awareness, or not awful enough for the True Believers. So, we get just as much, if not more, gridlock than we had when Obama was President.

I don't really have high hopes for anything getting much better but McMaster and Kelly are the only sane adults keeping this shiatshow afloat and at this point I am not even sure if it's worth the effort.

It's not even the leaking: they are outraged by Susan Rice for unmasking Flynn which they claim is illegal when it isn't. We still don't know the exact language of the intercepted message but it certainly sounds like Rice received a transcript about the Russian ambassador talking to [American A] on the phone immediately after Obama instituted new sanctions on Russia and [American A] told the ambassador that when [American B] takes office those sanctions will be rolled back so not to be bothered by them. Rice approved including the names of [A] and in the transcripts as they seem suspect/suspicious. That Sally Yates was aware of this and notified WH Counsel's Office that Flynn lied about this and the leak of both the intercepts and Yates notifying them was leaked to the Washington Post are related but do not directly implicate Rice. Also related but not the same is Cohen Watnick and Nunes' opinion that the context of the message should have told Rice enough to know that [American B] was Trump and as such she should have ignored it because at that point unmasking it is a political act (even if such unmasking would apply to a non-partisan actor.)

Speaking of Flynn he just filed new disclosure forms outlining payments from a company trying to build nuclear reactors in the Middle East and the Mercer family (Ted Cruz and Steve Bannon's patrons).

It was skewed af, but Congress and even Bush himself didn't seem to know that until later. That's more related to Dick and Rummy who were probably pressuring analysts into producing the right reports.

FTFA: "National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster has concluded that Rice did nothing wrong, according to two U.S. intelligence officials who spoke to me on condition of anonymity. That might explain why Trump has yet to declassify more information on the prior administration's unmasking requests"
....but I couldn't get an entire article out of that so here's a bunch of bullshiat.

Fart_Machine: So nothing has changed then.

Well, I mean they used to atleast attempt to discuss the news. For instance, they had a "story" on Bill Browder, and how he stated he thought Fusion GPS may have been tied to Putin and therefore the Democrats are tied to Russia (and nothing else he said.) You might leave thinking you heard something about the subject, though of course, the wrong thing.

It's as though they're so traumatized by the news cycle they can't even be bothered to put an ice cream scoop on top of the turd anymore.

Leaked by Ezra Cohen Watnick, who was recently kicked off the NSC by McMaster.

Dude, Obama framed Russia. They were the ones who told Trump, and now Trump is getting to the bottom of it all. Just you wait.

It has been weird. The pundit shows don't even mention the probe and the "news" shows focus on any number of minor news about Democrats (the Unmasking chief among them) and overseas events. While those events (attacks, etc.) get some coverage elsewhere, they're the *only* news-worthy events Fox News is programming, at least this week through yesterday. I don't plan on watching Fox News tonight--I'm not going to my gym (at least, not for another 26 minutes)--and it's the only "news" channel on there.

Poor Hannity talked about this on his show tonight. He was shocked, SHOCKED that the Obama white house dared to change the rules on unmasking and that makes it legal.

If they keep goofus from starting a random war then they have my gratitude. That's really all I ask of anyone claiming to be the "adult" in this shiat volcano of an administration.
It looks like the republican party ownership has realized he is a liability that doesn't help advance their agenda so we're seeing some congressional efforts to preserve the rule of law.
That leaves military folly as my largest concern while this narcissistic ignoramus is the white house.

Look, when Russian intelligence publishes private, confidential information on US political campaigns before the election I'm all for it. But if US intelligence reports get out afterwards, that's a dangerous precedent!! I'm very concerned.
