Considering what the A.T. stands for "modern" makes no sense as a modifier.

The changes in the game and size of players make any comparison between a 60s early 70s QB when the run game was king to a modern QB with rules against spearing and pass interference  not a reasonable comparison. Rogers is the greatest of the last 30 years.  Brady  is a good QB but without his coach and team he  would not have any rings.

The funny thing is, that four week vacation at the start of the season probably helped Brady during the grind of another playoff march.

All quarterbacks post 1978 owe their records and livelihoods to the Mel Blount rule, what's your point?

Is this the thread where the NFL writes every conceivable rule to benefit a small number of marketable players, and their fan base eats it up, after endlessly complaining the NBA did the same thing?

I sure hope it is.  That would be a good thread.  We need to make it happen.

That last sentence is quite strange.  Without a coach and a team, any quarterback is some dude about to get killed every time he manages to hike the ball to himself.

Have Brady play for da Bears and see if he even wins the division.  Get rid of belacheat as coach and watch NE be a middle of the road team.

The Packers and Patriots were both perfect situations for those guys to land in, I mean honestly had the 49ers drafted either of them (which was a possibility both times) it would've been short careers for both guys.
