I can almost understand the second one (goal 3), where I think she was playing for the pass, not a near-post shot.

Still should have had it -- that was basically an OG on the goalie.

Which keeper?
Neenah (or WTF her name is) shouldn't even be in the league, and Smith (the black defender) should go back to high school as should Dunn for her "sometimes I show up" attitude and play.

Things started off pretty hairy, but they managed to get a smooth path to victory.

I really enjoy watching it.  Not nearly as much grass diving as men's soccer, and some of the women are really nice to look at (Julie JohnstonErtz, Christine Press, Alex Morgan, for starters).  And the US team is usually best or second-best in the world.

But seriously, I find women's soccer to be extremely boring and a second rate sport.  If you watch them just because they are nice to look at... thanks for objectifying women.

Besides, we all know that in 20 years or so, woman's sports will be distant memory, for multiple reasons.

That ending really surprised Sir Ian Darke.  You could hear the disgust dripping until that second goal was scored.  And then Rapino getting the equalizer made him ease off.  Ertz' winning goal almost left him gobsmacked.

And soccer would be much more popular in this country if the MNT was as good as the WNT, or if we gave Women's soccer more coverage than just the national team.

It's 'ok' soccer. If they weren't the US I would have 0 interest, because it's pretty slow paced.

A couple of the players (in the world) have really great skills. They rest do not.

They don't get paid the same because they don't generate nearly the revenue.

I am not against transgenerism at all.. its a fact of life also that they are beginning to dominate.. to the point where either women rebel (I don't see that happening) or the commercial side of things just disappear (who will want to watch a team of transgender athletes dominate a sport?)... so women's sports will become financially nonviable for broadcast.  It just will... once the novelty wears off.

In the grand scheme of things, women's sports are a novelty as it is. Most peopled do not watch women's sports. There are a few exceptions that crop up in special events, but generally, women's sports don't make money.

Here's a hint--go watch USA versus Japan for the Cup.
No need to watch the full 90 minutes--16 minutes is about all you need.
