So anyone with brains or a desire to have a career post-2020, refuses to join Trump. They can see it is 100% likely to end in tears.

Departments are now lead by inexperienced and/or incompetent sycophants.

And Scaramooch is determined to thin out the WH staff.

All of which means that when the first crisis arrives, Trump will completely botch it.

Sessions knows about the Russian contacts; that's why he was recused. He could sing like a bird on them.

This is what Trump does to the credibility of the people around him. If they have any to start with, that is.

Why would a small man want to employ people who have no weaknesses they could exploit?

Dictators are always surrounded by these petty men of limited skill whose real talent is worshipfulness.

The modern version merely build their self-aggrandizing pyramids of glass rather than stone.

The hell you say! I have told ad nauseum, by every Trump defender and supposedly "in the know"  neutral journalist  that he is "famously loyal".... despite me seeing zero evidence of that

Trump demands loyalty but shows none.  The only reason he appears to be loyal to his children is they are named Trump.  Ivanka kept the name for branding reasons despite marriage, although if she changed her name she would still get a pass as Donald wants to fark her.

At first I thought, in what freakin' universe is the Klebler Klansman "credible" to any decent person?  His 80s colleagues didn't think he was fit to serve as a judge, let alone be the country's AG.

But then I remembered who Bannon is, and "deplorable" seeking its own level, yeah, he probably does believe that Sessions is "credible".

/deplorable is as deplorable does

I'm genuinely surprised at how willing he is to eviscerate Sessions.

2017-07-26 07:34:31 PM
Sessions is no different than your average white male from Alabama in his 70s: a rank toady who blusters on and on about "Southern manliness" and defiance, but at the end of the day, they will show absolute fealty to their fellow white man with a bigger dick (Trump). Why? Because he knows he's Trump's biatch and he's got nowhere else to go. He might hem and haw silently at his boss's antics to himself and whine about it to his friends, but he won't stand up for himself to his better.

You want the true way to piss Sessions off? Don't call him a racist (even though he is) because he relishes getting called that by those Yankee liberals. Call him a pussy and a coward - that will get under his skin more than anything else.

Well, from Trump's point of view, he REALLY wants to get Sessions out of there. He really thinks that the AG is the President's personal lawyer, charged with defending him legally. When Sessions was recused from the Russian stuff, it was a blow. Trump's plan is to get Sessions to quit, then replace him with a loyalty oath toady. The toady will fire Rosenstein and Mueller. Trump does not want to fire Sessions, directly because then he would also have to fire Rosenstein and perhaps so on down the list until someone will fire Mueller, the optics of that would be very very bad and would probably provoke a reaction. Instead he is after Sessions for not prosecuting "crooked Hillary", a made up thing that he didn't care about a few months ago, but they need an excuse. If Sessions quits, or worse Trump has to fire him, then they have to get a replacement in there, preferably avoiding the Senate confirmation hearings. I don't know if he can use a recess appointment or not, but watch him try and watch the Republicans be "troubled" but go along with it. Once Mueller is gone, they will appoint another toady to "find the real leakers" or "prosecute Hillary and Obama" or something crazy, and Fox will go along with it. This is going to suck.

By the time this is all said and done, there won't be a single man woman or child Trump supporter who isn't thoroughly incinerated by Agent Orange.  Some of them realize it already, some of them will understand eventually, and some will never admit it themselves or others, but all will suffer.  So will most of the rest of us.

Trump underestimates the sheer stubbornness of white southerners. And if there's anything, anything, that riles them up and makes them stick together it is a New York Yankee telling them what to do and how to vote.

My ex-wife was thrilled to be rid of her maiden name and all that associated with it. She kept it even after we divorced because she didn't want her old name back.

Fine by me, we're really close friends still, and I'm not worried about it.
