Yeah, the homeowner does have a somewhat frantic pace of speech. But what's up with reporter? There's something going on with her, too. It's not an accent.

It's Pennsylvania. Meth, opiates, and a thousand miles of orange construction cones. It does something to a person.

So the driver of the truck hit the house?

That rules out Roethlisberger.

Snarfangel - The meth does something to the construction cones, too.

That was taken on Western Blvd. by North Carolina State Campus... it was done by a student (or students...I forget which) and caused a great stink thanks to some really dead inside people who fussed over the costs rather than keep on using the new cone sculpture just like it was (it WAS made of cones and was STILL a warning device for drivers... why worry about some aesthetics?). Since it was my alma mater, I can assure you it was not meth that created this road monster.

It was probably 'dro and Schnapps...

/hey Snarfangel, did you know your handle is very similar to the name of the last security chief to serve under Kirk on the original Enterprise mission? Her name was Snnanagfashtalli and she was a feline-human cross alien. She was very dangerous but had a wicked sense of humor...

Huh, I didn't get any video, but I did see this gem farther on down...

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -
A man and a woman were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds
inside a home in Franklin Township, Greene County on Tuesday afternoon.
The bodies of Melanie Howells, 43 and John C. Wunder, 41, were discovered at the house on the 700 block of Pisgah Ridge Road.

The manner of death has not yet been determined.

I know, I know, Occam's Poe Slaw and all, but lets go ahead and think this one through for a moment...

Actually, it's nothing so interesting, but here goes.

In the late '80s I was on dialup BBSes, and I was called Archangel. Of course, such an awesome username quickly became too popular, so I changed the name to Darkangel. This was before the TV show came out, and had I been smart I would have registered darkangel.com.

Anyway, once the TV show came out, I changed it -- I liked the TV show pretty well, but didn't want there to be one of a hundred Darkangels. I picked Snarfangel, since there was a command-line program I liked called Snarf that allowed me to grab files from BBSes really easily, and it was fairly close to Archangel and Darkangel. Also, apparently, "Snarf is a term used by computer programmers meaning to grab a large document, file or any data, and use it without the author's (owner) permission." Since I still seem to be the only Snarfangel around, I've kept it.

The first time a car drove through my buddy's house we were in the Coruscating Mines (Dark Age of Camelot). The second time we were in Arcatraz (World of Warcraft). We do mostly tabletop games now, and still tease him about it.

/The first time his mic went dead as he lost power
//the second time we got to hear him panic and then the faint cussing as he chewed out the drunk driver

A car was launched into my neighbors house and wrecked the whole street facing side; it was rear ended while trying to turn.

My neighbors took it in stride, saying they wanted to remodel the house anyway. They couldn't source 60 year old brick though, so they have a very white street facing side and a beige wall everywhere else.

I had people telling me they'd seen my house on the news for a few weeks. The poor lady that was launched into the house lives a few houses down. She was traumatized but managed to joke about how it was the last wreck she'd ever see while driving a Pontiac.

Does your buddy intentionally live on corners closest to bars or something?

Also, if he was a gnome in WoW, he pretty much deserved it. Walking footballs just begging to be kicked, the whole lot of 'em!
