Doing the fandango was all I can think about whenever someone says his name, so I got that going for me.

He liked solar power. That alone would disqualify him from the Trump administration.

This is why Mitch McConnell is going to let Trump fire and replace Jeff Sessions next month as a recess appoinment. When your boss is a maliscious demagogue, his sycophantic followers will gut you with a spoon for blinking wrong.

If the Senate holds pro-forma sessions, Trump can't make a recess appointment. SCOTUS says as much.

That only applies when a Democrat is President.

I'm starting to suspect there's a bet on between journalists to see who can write the most 'advisor x is now Trump's favorite, advisors y and z could be getting fired soon' stories.

Yeah, they haven't had a break in what, six years?  Can't see why they'd care if Trump makes recess appointments now.

Well, they've already almost unanimously passed Russian sanctions.  While they may not outwardly say they're not recessing to prevent Trump from making appointments, they may use Healthcare as an excuse to shorten their recess to 10 days or under.

/Who am I kidding?
//McConnell's gonna rubber stamp that shiat.

The word "purge" is from Latin "purgare" which, in turn, was taken from some old Greek somewhere, possibly in exchange for some bad baklava.  The Latin base word means "purity", a vague term that can range from "parts per billion" to "total number of cockroach eggs in this canned soup".  When it is applied to politics, it implies a conformity of political philosophy or the tendency not to have a philosophy until someone tells you what it is.  The Nazis had purges to purify their message and, on a strictly event-driven basis, it worked out great for them... sure they lost the war and each citizen had to submit to a biweekly pat-down, but at the time it was encouraging.

General Jack Ripper was a great believer in purifying his essence and felt much better after a little cold water on the back of the neck...

Well, absolutely, the role of the White House is to coddle the president, and to prove their "loyalty", and ensure that they "defend the president through the crises"... It's not about the COUNTRY at all. *rolls eyes*

If a US president truly has the power to pardon anybody for federal crimes even before they are charged ... Could he technically pardon the entire population of the country for any future crimes, en masse? Just think of all the money that could be saved from law enforcement budgets!

Or, could he get more creative and declare a blanket pardon for any 6-toed cross-eyed male named Jeb in any of the States he won?

Seriously, for such a ridiculous power, may as well entertain us with some imagination here!

this is how you know Reince is probably out soon. What Scaramucci is doing is more akin to a Chief of Staff's job than communications director.

a chief of staff with no morals, but a chief of staff nonetheless

Yes, that was my take, too. I shudder to think how many years it will take to regain the real core of our government employees / support staff, since so few will probably willingly go back into the service of a White House that could end up in this situation again.

My money is on Andrew McCabe as next to be fired. Trump is twattering again:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!

Problem is that the acting head of the FBI & the person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from H for wife!

No. The crime itself has to have already been comitted, even if they haven't been charged yet.
