Whether or not he's on the short bus is still open for debate.  But odds are he's totally on it.

By the simple fact that he would be one of the worst people for the job, he is definitely on Donald's list.

Giuiliani really stands upon the top tier organized crime fighters with his role in taking down the five families of New York. He saw the structural weakness in their organization and took them down systematically. Rudy is really is deserving of this anti-corruption legacy.

I don't see Rudy really jumping on board organized crime's KGB run replacement, despite their recent turn of fortune.

I thought Rudy would be poleaxing old ladies to get back into power any way he could. Only reason I can think of he's not somewhere in the Cabinet is his shiat is too obvious. Which is kind of amazing, if you think of it.

And yet New Yorkers (who know him best) absolutely hate him. For example, here are the 2016 NYC election results by precinct:

Though apparently Trump is popular in Staten Island. Which isn't really a surprise--most would say residents of Staten Island don't really count as New Yorkers. Hell, they barely count as humans.

There is some truth to that. Staten Island is where NYers dump their garbage.

Does the AG need a law degree? Seems like a great job for I'm Eric.

2017-07-24 07:05:06 PM
When Moochie was hired one of his priorities was to find the source of the west wing press leaks. I'm guessing Trump mentioned a bunch of different people as being in line to replace Sessions and now that Rudy has been named publicly someone's arse is going to be in a sling.

2017-07-24 07:05:34 PM
I think that it has been made abundantly clear that whoever replaces Sessions is going to be neck deep in the cover up for Trump. Anyone with half a brain is going to realize that being appointed AG is going to most likely be a career killing short time position. Trump is going to have a hell of a time convincing anyone remotely qualified to take the job.

Staten Island is the sphincter between New York tand New Jersey. Hell I wish Jersey could take SI off of New York's hands.

This is probably the best single thing Guliani has said since 9/11. That would be 2001.

That said it would seem that the primary qualification to be Trump's AG is not knowing what the job is under the law. Hint: not the protector of the POTUS.

2017-07-24 07:12:59 PM
The bigger story here is that there IS supposedly a short list to replace the AG after just 6 months. WTF?

Considering Melania's practically nonexistent nowadays, the position of First Lady is always there for Rudy.

Come to think of it, that video shows Trump being far more affectionate with Rudy than I've ever seen him being towards Melania.

Trump doesn't know anyone in Washington who wasn't involved in the campaign.

I'm sure his supporters see this as a plus.

On a more serious note, wasn't Rudy showing signs of some pretty serious health issues last summer at the convention?  Would he even be able to perform the duties of AG, assuming the next guy won't be there to fire Muller and nothing else?

To be fair, Rudy caught a huge break with Gotti. Mob prosecutions are a lot easier when the top lieutenant/hitman confesses to everything and gives prosecutors the blueprint of the whole operation.

Giuliani openly campaigned for Secretary of State after campaigning for Trump the whole damn election. I doubt that his legacy in this regard is something he's really thinking about.
