Two Scoops should tread carefully. The only thing standing between him and impeachment is the GOP. If he convinces them that he's more dangerous to the party than helpful, he's a gonner.

That's right Donnie...threaten the folks who are going to have to decide if they impeach you.

Actually...that MAY be his clever plan. Then he could move back to New York, no one would care how much or how badly he golfs, he could get his hookers delivered without all the rigamarole at the White House, no one would care how crappy he eats, and he could get someone to ghost write a book at how unfair it is to be President when he's so smart and good looking...

He doesn't care about health care.  He doesn't care about the GOP.  He doesn't care about the job of the president.  He doesn't care about the well-being of Americans or America.

He just wants a victory of some sort.  And since he has none of his own, he's going to pressure Congress.  And then he can blame them.  It's also unclear how this would be a victory in any way.

But regardless, let the baby throw his tantrum.  He'll tire himself out eventually.  Then the adults can discuss how to move forward while he has his nappy.

Just build a bridge somewhere and get him to work naming it after himself. Make the big baby proud of something.

Also, the only repercussions Trump has managed to enact in his life is getting himself deeper and deeper into debt.

I think that if he started with infrastructure he would have had much more success.  Republicans weren't really on board but they would have been forced to cooperate.  He also would have found more willing partners in the Democrats (rather than trying to kill their legacy).  He would also be actually pushing policy and doing something good for the nation rather than just rolling back Obamas regulations.

But he's not that guy.  Or at least, he is letting himself be handled by the GOP establishment.

D2S has no clothes.  Nobody tell him.

Trumperdink has no goons.  He has no following.

Trumperdink has made it clear that he has no loyalty to supporters or staff.

Trumperdink screwed the GOP House members who put their necks out to pass the Trumpcare bill by calling it "mean."

Trumperdink is about to learn the real meaning of Reality TV.

The Koch brothers are already planning for a constitutional convention, knowing what is coming, while the blue party is taking a page from Trump's playbook and honing their message by defining that they aren't Trump.

If the businesses are looking at the long game, and the supposed representatives of the people aren't, then nothing will be solved at all.

Getting "trounced by the Democrats" is how we ended up with a GOP Senate, a GOP House, and a GOP President.  I don't see the evidence that a primary challenge from the right makes the Republicans less likely to hold a seat.

2017-07-24 10:55:20 AM
I feel like he's laying the groundwork to resign.  He'll blame both sides and that he's too good for us and it's everyone's faults but his.  Then we'll get trump teevee.

Two Scoops may have bigger fish to fry. According to Vanity Fair, Deutschebank is putting together their documents on Trump's loans, including who he owes money to. This is reportedly ahead of an expected subpoena by Mueller.

Let's not all celebrate at once.  Onion_article_Trump_finished.jpg and all that.

Remember that at the end of the day, there are many who will buy whatever he shovels anyway.  Just because.  Cultists, they are, and if you want to make plans against them you cannot assume rational behavior in response to his ... lets call them gambits?

But Congress is going to give him a victory!  He's gonna get a nice new set of Iran and North Korea and Russian sanctions!

Exactly. He's only useful if they see him as not a threat, and able to pass what they want. Once either of those changes, he's in deep shiat. It wouldn't take many GOP to flip- it's 194 to 240, 1 vacant. 219 to impeach. Would 26 flip over? How about the Senate? 52-46, with 2 independents that caucus Democrat. So, 14 would need to flip.

I can see both of these if D2S starts threatening the party leadership.

Well. . .about 30% of America wants Trump's goons as a rubber stamp, and they at least vote.  I'd have been right here posting the memes since 2010. . .but their strategy of purge and replace has them in complete control, and I don't see it changing.   At least not what I know from my family and neighbors who used to vote Democrat.

I was going to go to my local town meeting and suggest that they name the new sewage pumping plant after him, but I was afraid my no-humor neighbors might get all snowflaky-triggered about the suggestion.

Does this guy NOT take a hint that behaving this way is not going to win him any friends.

At this point, McConnell and Ryan might not wait the 2 years to impeach or encourage him to resign.

He doesn't understand - this isn't a corporation. He didn't hire Congress. They're not his employees. The idea that he thinks he's somehow running the mob is just farking funny at this point.

This is why "running the country like a corporation" is a bad farking idea - because it's not set up as a corporation.

Speaking as someone with a pair of toddler nephews in the house, "move forward" could also read "undo even half of the damage and chaos caused, if we're lucky."
