Guess I should probably bother finishing Iron Fist soon.  Looking forward to Defenders.  At least with the lower episode count, there's a chance it will be better paced than every other Netflix Marvel show.

And Inhumans looks worse every time I see more of it.  I'd rather they somehow get another season of Agent Carter to wrap that story up.

Supposedly that's a snippet from his show; this is supposed to be more of a Marvel Netflix trailer/recap than a Defenders one. Both shows will be on today's panel.

Add in Daredevil's super senses and Luke Cage's bulletproof skin, and I half-expect the finale of the show to be the group summoning Superman, Captain Planet-style.

Cribed from elsewhere:

The show runner, Melissa Rosenberg, had this to say on the subject in an interview:

"She doesn't fly but she can jump many stories, and she lands really badly, which is why she doesn't do it too often," Rosenberg says. "And the less you see it, the more believable it is. There will be flights in every episode and they'll get bigger and bigger and bigger but that's not my priority. That's not the nature of the story. This show is more character driven than anything like a scene in that universe."
EOnline Interview

Ultimately, it is not that she can't fly, it is that she is bad at it, and especially bad at landings and so avoids it.

Ok. I finally saw Iron Fist.

That was mediocre as fark. Like, it doesn't get interesting till damn near episode 7 or 8. It's 5 episodes of "OMG WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE COMPANY?!?!?!?!". That could have been, like, 2 episodes. Maybe. His love interest and all that entails was interesting enough. Took way to long to get there. 2 and a half out of 4 stars. Not quite a miss... I just know I have zero desire to see another season of these characters (which isn't true of the other 3 Netflix heroes).

This is where the 'the show sucked' conversation gets interesting.  Will there be a second season for IF?  If so, will they have the balls to recast Danny Rand and ditch the corporate ownership storyline?  If they want to get me interested in IF again, do a 'Heroes for Hire' season and let Mike Coulter carry the season because the guy who played IF has the charisma of a turnip.  And the turnip would probably look better during the fight scenes.

Yeah, I tried to get into the newer Doctor Fate, but I couldn't stomach the art. In the case of Dr. Fate I'm glad they found a place for an artist with Parkinson's but I don't have to like it.

Oh and yeah, some of those fight scenes had REALLY obvious camera angle issues. Like I know that they aren't hitting each other, however I am not supposed to actually see that. Your cinematography is supposed to mask that fact. Every other episode I was totally taken out of a fight scene because I though that a character had missed their target, yet their target acted like they were hit anyway. Don't blame the actors as much as the camera angles on that.

Yeah. The IF fight choreography and cinematography are fairly awful. As are some of the set designs. Like C grade Canon Films awful.

I'm ok with Finn, but let's hope if there is an IF2 the director gets a remedial class in how to do the core aspects of this type of show because it's pretty clear that he/she had no idea and was given far too much leeway.
