One of my friends just got out of rehab. He went because even his dealer asked him to get treatment. Apparently he found him on a sidewalk passed out, and that was the final straw.

I hope it works out. He's a good guy when he isn't smoking crack.

You know the dealer, the dealer is a man
With the love grass in his hand
Oh but the pusher is a monster
Good God, he's not a natural man
The dealer for a nickel
Lord, will sell you lots of sweet dreams
Ah, but the pusher ruin your body
Lord, he'll leave your, he'll leave your mind to scream

I would refuse to sell to anyone under 16. I'd even get the runners to ID them if they looked really young.

I'm sure that the board of directors of AB InBev or MacDonald's are super concerned about the people whose health is negatively impacted by their products.

I was actually able to haggle with one of my local weed stores the other day. I wanted two grams but didn't have quite enough money and they gave it to me anyway.

My meth dealer in SF was pretty chill. He even actually asked my permission to date my girlfriend when I told him I was moving.

For the most part, they were very much "No, I don't want someone's death on my conscience." Plus, as anyone with a head for business knows, you have a vested interest in long-term customers. The heroin dealer was the only one that DGAF and that's because she was using at the time.

I thought the dude selling Xanax and acid was funny, cutting people off of the former because they were wanting them for anxiety, not just coming down off a trip. "I'm not a doctor", biatch!

I liked that song when I heard the Steppenwolf version.

Hoyt Axton wrote it, which, to me, was a surprise.

Right. And we can now scan the brains of sociopaths and see how their brains differ... A lot of interesting literature about it.

Ah.  Looks like it.

CSB: When I pick up people from DIA and they want to go to a shop, this is usually the one I go to. It isn't high-end, but it does have something I haven't seen elsewhere. An old-school, free-to-play N.A.R.C. arcade game. Maybe not 'csb', but I always get a kick out of it. It also gives me something to do while they wonder around in amazement. /end CSB

Maybe 40 years of anti drug commercial have been a bad influence on me but I doubt the few dealers that writer talked to are representative of the profession.

I read a book in the 70's about a 13 year old addict and prostitute, it was made into a film in 1981, it was originally in German and translated into French. It's a true story, that book and movie are why I never went beyond marijuana and hashish, and I only experimented with them a few times.

Having every 13 year old read that book and see that film would be a lot more effective than the war on drug ever was.

I read the book and saw the movie in French, in English the book is titled " Christiane F.: Autobiography of a Girl of the Streets and Heroin Addict " and the movie "Christiane F".

What's the ratio between drug users who can indulge in their..hobby without thoroughly farking their lives and the lives of those unfortunate enough to be near them, and those who can't.
Drug use isn't all third-eye sunshine and personal freedom. Go look at the poor wretches who hang out in the park here at 3 AM on a Tuesday night. Their lives reduced to being a public nuisance, whose disappearance from this earth would sadden no one.
We have a drug dealer, and a weed addict living in my building. People would farking celebrate if both of em farked off forever.

Most of these guys will say-ah hem-with a straight face, thier products are not harmful or habit forming, and regardless they give some money to cessation programs for those non habit gotming products, which they are under no obligation to do, as thier products are neither harmful or habit forming, unlike illegal and addictivr  drugs such as pot, which they also lobby against, because drugs are bad, mmmmk?

Are you talking about alcohol?  Weed?  Crack?

I don't do drugs.  I smoked pot, did acid and mushrooms and some cocaine in highschool and college.  I wish I could still smoke pot because it's a super drug that would put pharmaceuticals out of business.  I can't though.

I'm old now and smart enough to know the difference between truely dangerous drugs and the others.  Are you?

I'm smart enough to never even touch any of that crap to begin with. Ever.
Well aside from the occasional glass of Scotch or Bourbon, you got me there.

Anyone here actually a drug dealer?

Listen, as someone who is dabbled on all sides, these sound like really good people. They deliver a service and have respect for a community.

Most drug dealers are pieces of shiat. however, find me a doctor that will prescribe me pain killers on a Sunday with access to a pharmacy.

It's complicated.

I'm not going to do that.  However, I will tell you that since you have zero experience with drugs (except the most dangerous one) that you are the last person who should even be in this conversation.

"I only drink liquor, I am better than all the druggies out there"  You certainly have the high moral ground.

Does it really surprise you that some people are more prone to having a negative impact on other people's quality of living, and that these other people may not think very fondly of them for doing so? Seriously?
