Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: I can't imagine anyone would want to watch this. At all.

Stories about corruption and cover-up in revered institutions? A story like that won Best Picture 2 years ago at the Oscars.

Those stories can be very well done, and there is a fascination with how all of it was handled behind the scenes among Penn State leadership.

Well, it has been almost 20 years since Pacino played an over the top football coach.

As opposed to all those reserved Pacino performances as Phil Spector, Dr. Kevorkian....

Pesci is semi-retired now. He occasionally works with his friends, but that's it.

What's the motivation for continually doing crap when you are old and rich, like De Niro?

Boredom?

Al Pacino was doing Scarface around the time Penn St was winning a couple of national championships. If someone at the time had suggested Pacino would someday play Joe Paterno in a movie about a child rape scandal at Penn St, I'd have thought that person was insane. Yet here we are. Life sure does take some crazy twists.

At least, thanks to that, the directory already knows Pacino can deliver the line "Say hello to my little friend"

Thousands of kids by hundreds of women.  Alimony and private schools ain't cheap.

I have no clue why when a studio is looking to cast someone to play a real person they would go with a guy like Pachino instead of a good character actor.   Pacino is in a group of actors who only play one character, themselves, doing different jobs.

A nostalgia bug bit me and I tried watching "Dick Tracy" for the first time in over 20 years. Bad decision. I felt embarrassed for Pacino just watching him chew through the scenery in it.

If I didn't have my own hot Italian man, I would have hot sex with Al Pacino.

Brynden Rivers: As opposed to all those reserved Pacino performances as Phil Spector, Dr. Kevorkian....

You know, for all that scenery chewing he does, I think Pacino's greatest moment as an actor is one of his most understated.  It's the scene in The Godfather (Part One) soon after McCluskey's beaten the shiat out of him, and he's sitting there while Sonny, Tom Hagen, and the others discuss what to do.  And Michael just out of nowhere starts to speak, and without raising his voice, he lays out the plan exactly.  "It's not personal, Sonny.  It's business."  And everyone there knows who's the boss now.

It's too bad later in his career he'd just decide that acting meant yelling all the time.
