Well it is directed by Tim Burton, so it will probably be good.

Will Johnny Depp be the main crow or play all the crows? Cause I've been done seeing about everything when I see Johnny Depp in black crow face.

Say what?!

I said when I see Johnny Depp in black crow face.

No. I lost interest in Burton masturbating on other folks' intellectual property a while ago. And the sad thing is, his original works, they aren't bad, but he's given up on bringing that to life, instead cranking out faux-half-goth versions of childhood favorites, and thinking that it's clever. So, no, I don't think so. I'll check out what he puts together for Beetlejuice 2, and he produced 9, which was pretty damn entertaining. But his "reimaginings" just aren't to my taste, because all of them have the feeling that he doesn't really like or respect the material that he's playing with, and that includes his work on the Batman franchise as well as Dark Shadows.

If other folks want to go see it, go right ahead. Have fun. But I have about as much interest in this as I have for anything that Tom Cruise puts his name to. They're not for me, and I'm good with that. Burton gets back to doing something other than pop culture hit pieces, I'll be back in, but his remakes just don't interest me overly much, because they have the feel that if he wants to remake them, it's done out of the utmost disrespect for them...

I'm guessing it'll be whimsically dark.

Aside from the crows, that is.

Is every Disney animated movie going live action?  Then what?  CGI?

I was hoping for an animated version of Trumbo.

Well I done seen about everything when I seen an elephant wearing eyeliner and combat boots flyyyy-YYYY!

I hope there's some Danny Elfman circus music in it.

Mugato: I hope there's some Danny Elfman circus music in it.

I hope he works an Edison electrocution in there somewhere.

====================================

So far I've heard The Lion King, Dumbo, and Aladdin all following the previously done Beauty and the Beast as going live action.

So, at the least, all their BIG ones.

Beauty and the Beast, from what I heard, worked.  Aladdin can work except for the Genie.  But how do you have a flying elephant and movie that's literally all-animals going live-action?  At that point, it's just CGI.  Which is animation.

But I guess Disney has run out of ideas.  But they'll probably make another billion or two with no effort.  Can't beat that, I guess.

Don't forget Jungle Book. That was all animals for the most part.

Yes, pretty much -- Dumbo, Lion King, and Mulan are all scheduled for 2019, with a dozen more in the following years.

So do these live action Disney films include songs from the originals?

... and who's playing Jim Crow?

I'm confused.  How exactly is Eva Green getting naked in this?

You'd turn it off when I was halfway across: So do these live action Disney films include songs from the originals?

Same guy who voiced Jiminy Cricket. Cokeheads had talent back then.

That is what every single one of us should be asking.

Would be more interesting if Quentin Tarantino did it

Swiftly! By all that's holy!

I dunno, I think it could be good. Especially be part where oppressed people are trapped on a dandelion yelling "We are here! We are here!" over and over until some kid yells YOP and blows it all wide open.
I'm kinda looking forward to it

Teaching those stunt elephants how to fly must have been difficult.

I just don't think this is going to end well.

Has it already been two years since Helena Bonham Carter had work?

Great, another movie about Trump:

Crow #1: He's smart!
Crow #2: Not dumb, like everybody says!
Crow #3: He's smart, and he wants respect!
(All three crows fall down, laughing hysterically and clutching their sides)

If Tim Burton can film dunno is the same way he did Big Fish I think it may have a chance.

Now if he goes full chocolate factory then it's farked

Mulan could definitely have some potential. Hopefully they stay away from the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon theme and go more with a drunken master or Chinese connection type movie.

Well it is directed by Tim Burton, so it will probably look great but be a mindbogglingly frustrating clusterfark of story.

If this is going to be live-action, where will Tim Burton be able to find a flying elephant?
