I'd think that anyone who wanted such things would have bought them 20 years ago or so.

Those are the worst likenesses of Picard and Data I've ever seen.

This year's Luke Skywalker looks more like Kenny Rogers.  I love the ship ornaments they do each year, but their face sculpts are always pretty off.

I actually have that 1995 Picard ornament.

In 1995, I was 14 years old and at the height of my Star Trek nerddom.  I think that was about the age when I was reading all the novels.

TNG will always be favorite simply for that reason.  It was the series that was on during my adolescence.

Does it still work? I have all of them except the very first one, but they stopped lighting up and speaking several years ago.

I think so.. but I don't keep track of those things when it's not on the tree.

Because hanging Captain Picard on your tree was so VERY important beforehand.

Nice that they're pimping the new series.  You know, the one that can only be watched on the CBS pay service that hasn't even debuted yet.

Picard and Data and a movie prop in the Kevlin timeline are hardly pimping the new series, which features neither of either.

And I'm pretty sure that CBS pay service has existed for ahwile, not like I'd seek it out.

Well it's not as if I hang them all on my tree every year, either! Sheesh!

/I hang them all on my tree every year

My kid thinks Voyager is the only real Star Trek, because that's what he had to watch. I feel sorry for him. He doesn't much like Star Trek.

I have the shuttle and the TNG Enterprise. They still work, with a "but."  The LED tree lights I have don't put out the juice to power them.

I've got DS9 Worf for my tree.  Probably should get some more.  But now I want some XCOM ornaments,  maybe a festive Muton or Chryssalid.

After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.

My mom bought most of them from that one on. But stopped a few years ago. My favorite is the DS9 that has a little Defiant and a couple of other ships you can hook onto it.

/parents used to let me use my DeLorean Time Machine model as the angel.

Picard's face looks more like the holodeck doctor from Voyaget than like Picard. The 1995 ornament was far better.

It's the shiat.

I have that one, the Bird-of-Prey, and the Romulan D'Deridex Class.  Nothing says Merry Christmas like a stand-off between the Federation and the Klingon and Romulan Empires.

My tree usually incorporates the Rebel Alliance as well but I have no Galactic Empire ships.

/It could also include a naboo fighter but that one stays in the rubbermade bin of decorations

My wife and I came to an agreement. I could have one nerd ornament and she was only allowed to hang ornaments made by the kids in the last two years (they are lovely, but there are SO many). Here's mine:

Its a shame too, they knocked it out of the park with the casting. If they could only get Simon Pegg to say "lassie" a little less...
